Cell C Network Issues: Disconnects, Coverage, Throughput Problems - Report Here

Connected, but no throughput since Sunday Eve/Mon Morn.

Gardens, Cape Town. 1 Block away from Gardens Centre. (Devils Peak direction)

Do not have any details at this point, but will post later... Can anyone confirm any issues in the area?

Still no Change...(small packets sent and recieved but no browsing). I am able to querry the network using commands(*147#) for a while, but I then start getting timeouts from that.

Even my vodacom 3g connection has now gone... :(

This will need to be resolved soon.
 
Still no change, signal strength changes from dbm-89 to dbm-69 and then back to dbm-89 line of site ??????

Speedtest: Would love to get you one, but my speeds are literally so slow that no web pages will load. I'm actually logging this using my Vodacom data.
Issue at hand: Complete and utter crappy internet speeds for the last 2 weeks. It's been 11 months since my last complaint. Everything's been running smoothly until now. Funny though, considering it's my last month on this pre-paid SIM. I have 3GB left on it and I can't get at it, because I get speeds like 13kbs/p or worse. I think something's wrong with the tower again. Or that's my theory, because every time I complained, someone did something (I'm assuming) and all of a sudden my internet speeds got better. And it's not my hardware, because my Vodacom and 8ta sims are running at optimum speeds.
 
Connection on my iPad is not working from Kenilworth in cape Town. Haven't had any throughput for a few days. Have been ok as have wifi at home. Are there issues? Mypad says I'm connected, but nothing actually updates or refreshes.

Issue is now resolved for me. - Cell C software/drivers on Win7 64 bit requires Windows SP1.
Up and running again.

Interesting notes:

Internet and Cell C modem and software worked fine after a fresh install. (no throughput issues yet)
After running windows updates. (SP1 not loaded yet) issues of 'no throughthput' starts occuring.
Install SP1, and cell c modem just starts working. Throughput issues resolved.

Hope this helps others ;)
 
I'm having connectivity issues with cellphone and 3g MyZone device. Different sims. Voice also dropping. This morning I couldn't even connect to the CellC network.

This started happening in the last 3 days.

I use to have great connectivity, but it's all gone now. I think the closest tower is at the Mall@Reds center.

Anyone else have the problem?

Cannot run a speedtest, and am posting this using a Vodacom sim.
 
Cell c BIS speeds 12kbs capped and 7.2mbs modem is capped at 112kbs. Any1 having that prob in durban?
 
Not even a week on prepaid and problems with data connectivity. First 3 days were great, HSPA. Last 2 days I can't even get Edge.

This is sickening. CellC. I double checked my coverage and it was ample by your coverage map.

Please update with a response.

Been having problems for the past two weeks in Montrose, Pmb. Modem keeps losing network, disconnecting, then immediately finding network again. Happens frequently during downloads. Longets I've managed to stay connected thus far is 30mins. The modem itself is fine - I'e used an 8ta simcard in it with no problems. Anyone else neaby with similar issues?
 
There seems to be a problem in the Rondebosch/Newlands area. Cannot get a data connection at all. :(

Cell C please investigate Honey Heights Tower West Rand, please PM if you require any further info.

This is the third request I've submitted. Twice on this web site and once to Head Office please assist
