Cell C Network Issues: Disconnects, Coverage, Throughput Problems - Report Here

Tried to use data in Springfield park in Durban today, nothing. Full signal but no throughput on my iPhone.

Threw the sim in the nearest rubbish bin. Now I just need to wait for one more number to get ported, but since work is doing it it will take a while. Had have ZERO issues on TM and MTN with the other (4) sims I replaced that were Cell C.
 
Appalling Internet Access again this morning in Centurion. Connection looks fine, but surfing is a hassle. Cell C really dropped the ball, this past year when it comes to their data network.
 
First day on Cell C. 3G connectivity is either slow or zero. Sitting now with full signal strength and zero connectivity :(
 
100% connection, no internet access. But what does it help to complain. Cellc will only keep quiet.
 
Why should we pay for a service that is not working, cell c.
 
Cell c: Signal strength 99%. Internet access 0%. What is the use of this forum?

Dear forum member, I hope you can help.

You see I joined Cell C's data network July 2011 for one year at the price of R149 pm for 2GB. I was quite impressed with the speed and stability and did not have any complaints. In actual fact I was so impressed that I joined for another 2 years on the R99 for 2GB data. Unfortunately, since then it all went for the birds and it is now almost completely useless. I had connection until about 8:30 this morning. After that I really had such a slow connection that I had no connection, even though the signal strength was fine. At about 11 pm tonight my connection came "on" again and is running smoothly. The problem is now ongoing for some time now. My question to you then is:

CAN YOU PLEASE GET ALAN KNOTT-CRAIG FIRED?????
 
Hey I can actually connect to the internet . . . when I swop my Cell C sim with Telkom Mobile one at least.

TM much faster as well.
 
Still waiting for clarity on issues around HSPA+ data in Sandton CBD.
Roaming on VC as advised by the call centre is not an option.
 
Full signal, H+ but no through put! Sucks. Just ported to Cell C and want to kick myself for doing it. Hatfield Pretoria area.
 
Posting here is futile. Cell C does not give a toss about existing customers - just signing up as many new suckers as possible.

In the words of Mr. T - You sucka, crazy fool!!

Only use CellC now when i get free data with a recharge, else they useless. Could be all the BB users downloading the "net" all day.
 
You guys still having issues? My condolences - Cell C is great in PE.
 
Also in PE, I just get maybe a few random minutes (about 10 - 15 minutes) where there is no Internet Access. Also on my phone the same thing would happen.

Whereabouts in PE do you frequent? I get excellent signal on my S3 and Giga200 dongle connection, and no periods of inactivity. It's seldom faster than 2 to 4Mbps, but the latency is excellent so it's a joy to use.

I'm in the Summerstrand Area mostly, close to NMMU. I use the Vodafone K3772-Z modem and got the GigaNite 20 data plan. I used to get 5Mbps - 6Mbps most of the time, now I get anything between 0.8Mbps to 3.8Mbps and maybe a short random time when there is no Internet Access, both on my modem and my phone.
