So here I am trying to cancel my CellC data contract that expired 5 years ago.
The woman answered the call and I gave her all my details. Note this was at 19h15.
So she said no problem. I must please dail 084143 should I be cut off which I was almost immediately.
Apparently the cancellation department only operates from 8 till 5
So she didn't know that their hours is only from 8 till 5.. Pathetic.
Will phone again tomorrow but will stop the debit order just in case.
 
If my memory is correct, it's Monday to Friday only as well, and if you go to a CellC shop they're just phoning the same number for you, so they can't do cancellations on a weekend either...

Yes. I guess that's fair. But if cancelling it tomorrow brings up the same result they must try and collect as the debit order will be gone.

Thanks. They did. But I must pay again end of this month... This is now pre paid surely as you dont pay they cut you off? So will be cancelling my debit order as that would also kill the data instantly.
Also my intent was clear to cancel before the end of Feb...
 
I have a similar issue. Will PM the rep to resolve.
 
I have a similar problem also,have been trying to cancel my contract since December till today with no luck.Everytime l call the cancellation department they always say l have failed the security check questions and l should go to the branch(Soshanguve Crossing) and the people who work there always say they cannot cancel the contract for me l should call the cancellation department.l have been paying for almost 3mnths now and l have lost hope of being helped.The worse part l lost the sim card am nt even receiving the services anymore.Am frustrated because am always skipping work trying to solve the issue with no luck

I’m trying to get in touch with cell c contracts cancellation department but no luck. Could someone from your team please contact me on **********. It’s frustrating listening to music and than out of the blue every time it just gets disconnected

I try to cancel cell c data, but once they try to transfer m to cancelation department it got cut off, it looks like they force to keep this contract which is just cost m for nothing. When I go to branch they said I must contact cancelation department, what are they the for, I regret getting involved with this company. Can someone assist m my **********

I finished paying my Cell C Contract in January and i have been paying every month on time since the beginning of the contract term. I am trying to get in touch with retentions but the number is Dead i have phones customer care NUMEROUS times and all they tell me is that i need to be transferred to retentions and then on top of that they block me on social media for calling them out on their poor service. I will be blocking my debit order this is a PATHETIC excuse of a business!

Hi about cancellation got a good one. While trying to upgrade my contract online I was in fact given a new sim/ number, online promotion so upfront payment with credit card. It takes me various calls, emails and 3 weeks to be reimbursed. But looks like the cancellation was not registred on cell C system as they still bill me every months. Customer care ask me deal with retention but same issue as other people trying to reach them. And today via their internal transfert got message 'that this number does not exist.' any way to get a call back my contact on the query 9052301013

It seems cancellation of a Cell C contract is close to impossible. I'm unable to reach them on 084 143. Either the number is unreachable or is not answered. I'm trying to cancel an expired data contract, please could someone assist?
Why is it so difficult as a consumer to be treated fairly?

I 've been trying to cancel my cell c contract today as i receive a message from cell c informing that my contract will end on 04.08.2019 so if i wish to upgrade or cancel my contract i should call their cancellation department on this number 084143 so tried calling them all day but it just ring without answer so i really need help the number concern is ********** an u can call me on this number **********
