You need to cancel the contract via customer care or [email protected] if not it will run on a month to month basis until it's cancelled. There is a 30 days notice period for cancelltions.

We'll check your PM and assist.

I canceled my contract last year October and they told me it takes 19 days so they'll have to debit me for November as well but it will be the last... But still after that till today they've been debiting my account???

So, I sent a mail to [email protected] and I was then contacted by [email protected] saying they couldn't reach me (odd) and then asked for an alternative time/date which I provided two options but still no contact.

So @Cell_C what is the process to cancel my contract?

I took a sim card only data contract with Cell C last year 2021. I verified with the sales agent that the line is a month to month contract and that I can cancel in the next few months since I will be installing Fibre. The sales agent guaranteed me that the there will be no cancelation fees just a 30 day notice period. Now when I cancel they tell me I need to pay a penalty fee of R5482.50 for early cancelation. What am I being penalized for since I did not receive any devise from them except sim card and they promised me on the call that there is no cancelation fee. I don't think that this is in line with the Consumer Protection Act.
 
@Cell_C I am attempting to cancel my 1000GB Month-to-month sim only LTE account, however I am now told that in February 2022 I was put on a fixed term contract and I have 10months left, or I must pay R5500 early cancellation penalty???? Please tell me this is joke? When asked when I was informed of this, they said I should take out my LTE sim from my router to check for SMS's, however no emails or SMS to the number I receive my billing for.

Hi there,

I am a Cell C Customer for years and loved their promotions. However, for the past year+, whenever there is loadshedding, I cannot connect via Mobile data to Internet services. I've tried all possible troubleshooting, including domestic only roaming and domestic and international roaming, network settings reset, etc, etc. It's really making my blood boil. Consultants at Customer Care tell me it's normal as the backup batteries of the towers don't hold charge for long. However, my buddies at MTN, Vodacom and Telkom do not have this problem(I have tested this many times). Now my question is :Can I cancel my data-Sim only contract with CELL C on this grounds alone? Am at my wits end
