I have just given up in any price reductions. I really thought we would see something significant at the end of May, but it was not to be.

Perhaps with Jannie's return to Vodacom some sense will get knocked into the heads of the big wigs.

I still would love to see some form of uncapped but throttled service. Somthing like this

1. 128kbit = R150.00
2. 315kbit = R200.00
3. 512kbit = R300.00
4. 1.8mbit = R350.00

etc etc. or something to that effect :-)

I'd just be happy with an affordable 10GB package. Even a 5GB package for that matter. And no, R2000 for 10GB is NOT affordable.

Exactly, i would buy 10Gb with a smile if they provide decent pricing for it.

If I could get it at R 500.00 odd id be smiling all the way to be honest.

You obviously a rich guy....can i be your boyfriend?:p:whistle:

Seriously...that is R50 per gig. That sounds pretty good to me. Not sure if Vodacom would bite though as WebAfrica for example is still charging R70.00 per gig on prepaid top ups.

webafrica is also the most stable connection about, damned good for gaming with some of the best latency u gonna find. unlike vodacom and the constant network repairs/upgrades. Id rather pay for quality above quantity, and vodacom doesnt supply either a lot of the time

That's what i have always spent on data costs with VC. Sometimes closer to R 1000.00. Now im off my contract so usage has dropped substantially.

I have to be honest, my VC connections been great for me, but i'm not in a big city so that counts in my advantage...to a point. :p

I thought I posted in this thread.. my crappy vodacom connection must have timed out

I doubt this clerk called Vodacon 3 g has any say regarding marketing and pricing of vodacon data bundles.

He is just the customer relations manager here to keep you off their backs for a little longer

Affordable would be maximum 50rand for a gig

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Vodacom3g managed to make a number of positive changes while managing the forum, some of which were even suggestions by forumites. Since he moved over for his short stint at iBurst VodacomData has been the local rep for a year now.

V3G did some great things, and arranged a techie to assist with a thorny issue. Somehow you've lost the plot - he is working for Vodacom, he isn't Vodacom. Any company that gets someone like V3g (back) on board must be happy. I think MTN would love to have someone like him, but I think he will chew off his wrists with all the cr@p going on there.

Vg3 has done excellent work and assisted many, many VC Customers in the past, with VodacomData continueing in the same spirit - Thank you and carry on with the good work.

 I suggest you comment on things you know about. The Vodacom reps on here have always been very helpful and have done great things for us.

V3G and then Vodacom data have been our lifeline in the past - they have always been fighting FOR us, not against us.

If I could buy a 10GB vodacom data bundle for R 500, I would drop my ADSL and Telkom line fees like a hot potato, and use Vodacom as my sole data provider. :D
