Constant outgoing trafic from svchost.exe

Hey guys

I just installed Netlimiter for the hell of it, and I see that svchost.exe has constant outgoing internet trafic of < 3KBps

I'm sure this is not right and it's getting on my nerves.

Any suggestions of what might be causing this?

Yes, I have been Goggling it Still haven't come up with anything concrete yet.

I have also seen this on Netlimiter and I think is system updates running in the background.It will eventually stop??!!

It's just suddenly stopped, just thought it was strange that it was outgoing traffic. Will see if it starts up again.

If it starts up again download wireshark.

The Svchost.exe process contains the Automatic Updates service. Disable your Automatic Update settings and have a look.

If you use Vista or Win 7 you can identify the file with task manager.
Task Manager - Processes - select your service - view - select collumns - tick command line and scroll to the right.
