Seems like everything is suddenly going via IS, so I'm guessing one of CISP's international links failed (and they don't have enough transit with IS to carry everything?)

I was screwed also and reset my CPE and all back to normal. Not sure how this could have helped but seeing others still being screwed perhaps it solved it ?

Internet was fine one minute and then just boom internet unusable, websites weren't even loading for me but everything is now back to normal for me.

People on discord started sounding like robots and massive rubber banding in PUBG ...

Had to kill my stream due to constant disconnects :/

Heeelp !

I doubt CPE reset fixed anything, it's probably just that the problem was resolved while you were waiting for the CPE to restart

Although things seem a bit sketchy still even if they're somewhat better.

Hi. We had a routing issue for a few minutes from 17:50 till just after 18:00 between Rosebank and Isando.

Apologies for the high latencies. Everything should be back to normal now.

I activated my Vuma/Coolideas link today via my Laptop and the connection works, so I assume my IP is bound to the laptop. I want to use my own router: (Zyxel)
Question 1: Must the router be set to PPoE or Dynamic IP? (When can I expect the username/password if PPoE)
Question 2: Does CoolIdeas do the IP reset for the re-bonding to the router?

I've logged a ticket and waiting, but am hoping to get the router ready in the mean time. ([Ticket ID: COOL-20171128-57405])

You can either use cloned mac address on your router if it supports it or phone coolideas to reset your mac address so you can use the router mac address directly.

Can't really compare wifi vs wired though. Wifi is too unpredictable to give consistent results.

It is predictable. I get similar with wired if I hook up. And you can't say consistently getting slower speeds with Europe vs local is a wifi issue. That just does not make sense. Occam's Razor.

You could have packet loss on your link which then has a larger impact on retransmissions on international traffic.

Is it a router issue then, maybe the supplied router is not good enough?

Damn, well connectivity is still having multiple strokes on and off and random packetloss to game servers. Hope this is known issue still actively being resolved.

I just made these posts to show that blaming 5GHz AC wifi in same room as the router for speed differences is not rational.

It is rational specially in this example you did not test wifi/lan to the same test server, how about that ?

Not saying you dont have a legitimate issue but when comparing the two you should atleast compare the same test server.
