I have downgraded and upgraded in the past, never needed to reboot the CPE. Sometimes however the router didn't pick up the new DHCP lease, so the router might need a reboot. CPE wont.
IP Address changes with a upgrade/downgrade ?

Your order of the service CISP 20Mbps/2Mbps Uncapped on ## ######## St with the order number O0000000##### has been shelved. This means the order will still be available but will not be in a usable state until the order has been unshelved.
By logging in to the portal you can unpark the order. Note that you can only unshelve the order from the place where you ordered the service in the first place.
In my experience, yes each time it changed.IP Address changes with a upgrade/downgrade ?
Yeah give it some time, it shelves the old service and cancels it at midnight. The upgrade worked, getting my 20/20 both sides. thou now the vumatel portal is saying "NO ACTIVE SERVICE ON THIS LINE" and I received the following email
No known issues, can you do a trace to the BF4 server and paste it here? Also is this over cable and not wireless?Hi All,
Hope you all had a good festive season thus far.
Just a quick check / question.
Joined CISP via Vumatel, trenched, a few weeks back and speeds are great. However, my son just asked me what a ping is since he got kicked by a server due to high pings, whilst playing BF4.
I had a look and saw he was set to EU and then switched him to ZA servers, thinking this would solve the issue.. This was not the case... The pings for the few ZA servers were shockingly high.... 160ms to 220ms pings.
I fired up my BF4 to see if it isolated to his pc, but that was not the case.. The same bad pings were present in my case as well.
I find this strange and wanted to check here if this is a know issue or if this a peering issue?
Thnx in advance for the feedback

Those IPs don't seem right, are you tracing to a friend or the BF server itself? Will you PM me your public IP?Hi it's over cable.
This is weird indeed..
In Screenshot 1 & 2 you will see what the games shows the pings are before I join a game.

Then Sceenshot 3 if the ping after I joined the server.

This shows my pings are fine.
Here a ping & tracert to the Telkom IP.

So something is weird. I now wonder if the high pings could be due to the UDP port that is associated with that Telkom IP?
Nah not at all, but it's the first thing to rule out before taking any further steps. So standard procedure.
If you worked at an ISP you would understand why wifi has to be ruled out. 90%+ of logged issues are due to bad WiFi at the customer.Of the 10 or so issues ive had. It has never been wifi.
Of the issues people raise here it has never been wifi.
The first reply we always get here. Is it not your wifi?
Its retarded and getting just plain stupid. I was constantly getting disconnected this afternoon. No answer as to why. The ticket i raised on your portal. The reply i got was to check my cabling and credentials. Its beyond fking retarded to be honest

All pbcool does, is ask for confirmation that a test was done over cable to ensure it is not going to be a waste of time to do extensive troubleshooting when it is as simple as a wifi issue.
It would be stupid of the ISP and pbcool to skip such a simple but important step.
Honestly getting tired of your complaints about a crucial troubleshooting step. I am super happy cisp customer, I do wish you could get your issue sorted out. Sadly I guess that won't happen until you take it seriously and follow a solid procedure.
Well great news, you are not my customer.Feel free to ignore a customer who gets stupid replies from his service provider who has monkeys typing away in the back office. I could not care less about you getting tired. I pay for a service which has seen numerous interruptions with no adequate response

You not doing yourself any favours either with the way you going on. Good luck getting your issues resolved.
