Acting like a kid is not going to get you any respect, treat others as you want to be treated...

Not interested in respect. Interested in getting service AND support for which im paying.

I may come across as a whiner. But not getting proper feedback is highly frustrating

While I understand people might be getting annoyed with the whining, he is a paying customer and is allowed to voice his unhappiness.
That's kinda what the thread is about.. FEEDBACK.

If you have an issue, block him.

Amen

I respectfully disagree with you.

Yes he is a paying customer, that entitles him to support using the official support channels which is the email and phones ect.

This is a feedback thread, emphasis on feedback. Meaning you can show with data the performance or the lack of performance you have and we can work together to either a. resolve it or b. assist in gathering more data to assist CISP to resolve it. In fact, this can be a super useful medium when used correctly.

In fact, I will be one of the people trying to assist where I can, but when someone use a feedback thread as their whining medium its just downright annoying.

Moaning on here is noise, annoying noise like spam email. Do you like spam email? Do you like spam sms;s? Do you like spam calls?
I dont think you do. If the ignore list was as effective as spam blockers for email and phonecalls, I would use it.

Edit:
Must add, the way he whines and moan just shows how little personality he has. Every tom, dick and harry knows how to complain. Few actually do something to help resolve issues.

So I’m glad you mentioned it’s a feedback thread. His feedback is he is unhappy with the service and voicing such.

Like I said, block him if you feel him disruptive but telling people not to voice their opinion isn’t cool, especially on a public forum wherein they actually use the service they are moaning about.

But lemme get off the derailment train. Keep arguing while I try use all the bandwidth :p

So either take your issues up with Vumatel because they are the actual cause of your unhappiness and frustration and not CI or alternatively shut the hell up. Take your pick.

Nice, good one :)

If you could call that feedback, sure. But I still don't think this is a place for that type of feedback. I get that he is annoyed and disgruntled. I also understand he is not going to get his issues resolved until he find a way to man up and try and work together with his service provider to resolve the issues.

You think i must work with them to resolve it, when i get feedback saying check my router cable and wifi. You have decided to make it personal - good for you.

I will "whine" and "complain" until they decide to appoint proper support teams to help their customers with their "problems"

I DO NOT PAY VUMATEL. I pay Cool Ideas, hence i expect support from COOL IDEAS

FFS :mad: Some people can be so thick on their high horses

@PBCool, whens this beer happening?

@PBCool

Have gotten no feedback from Octotel at all about the slow speeds internationally with upload on Xmas its been the best it was got close to 30MBps but since then i am back down to 8Mbps. If i can't get this resolved i will have to go through with formal cancellation i assume i will be liable for the install fees then + 30 days notice period correct?

Unfortunately neither have we, this time of year all of these providers go to skeleton staff so chances of resolution are probably only realistic in the new year, there isn't anything we can do from our side to improve this.

You are welcome to cancel and there is no penalty to do so, but I would urge you to wait a few days until they "re-open" and we can get it resolved.

And so are we, the reason why I am on this forum is to be transparent and to give feedback relative to these concerns. We feel exactly the same way about getting feedback.

Will do will give them till end of Jan to resolve then since they will most likely have a ton of tickets to run through. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah USGs and MTUs don't work very well, what setting is your MTU set to on the USG?

Sorry for slow response - general holiday distractions atm. The USG doesn't have an MTU setting atm due to not being used as a modem. In the Zyxel router, the MTU is currently 1492. Is there another value I should use when I get a chance to muck about with the network setup?

Try bypassing everything with a PC directly dialling your PPPoE and see what results you get?
