Sorry for slow response - general holiday distractions atm. The USG doesn't have an MTU setting atm due to not being used as a modem. In the Zyxel router, the MTU is currently 1492. Is there another value I should use when I get a chance to muck about with the network setup?

Log in via console on USG, then you can change MTU.

Having a problem streaming on Vumatel trenched.
Using a cabled connection. Any one else experiencing the same in JHB, Weltevreden to be more exact?

What service? Post a link if possible and I can test.

Some links on TerrariumTV. Streaming from my Put.io locker is also dog slow.

Netflix is fine though.

I use neither, if you can provide a link I can test, Netflix (as mentioned), YouTube and Twitch are all flying.

We haven't got any notifications for an area related issue. We have enquired, will update once I have anything.

Definitely an area issue - quite a few people across ISPs getting red flash LOS on the ONT

Will wait to hear from vuma / PBcool

Any idea why Fibre is off in Stellenbosch (Brandwacht aan Rivier SADV complex)

Was working up to about 12

Logged into my account. Worried that you have billing issues due to holidays as my account shows unpaid. Which it isnt.

Can you advise

Still no feedback :(, is the area still down?

@PBCool Any chance my slow OneDrive speeds are an ISP issue? I've spent ages troubleshooting, yet the max upload I can achieve is 16Mbps via the web app in Chrome. By contrast, Google Drive hits 50Mbps effortlessly.

Just wondering if you guys have given Google Drive special treatment, and could do the same for OneDrive.

(Haven't forgotten about the router thing, just not much opportunity to fiddle with it lately)

That traffic should hop off in NAP CPT, as Microsoft peer at NAP in CT and JHB. So doubtful that the issue lies on CISP side.

Have you tested using the Onedrive desktop app as well?

Damnit man, don't be telling me that. Nothing has worked at getting the speeds to not be a steaming turd.

Uploading from desktop gets like 4Mbps. Chrome is by far the fastest at 16Mbps.

I've been going back and forth with the built-in OneDrive support, and it's going nowehere. Just rubbish about disabling antivirus, clearing caches, trying other browsers etc. Nothing has done anything. Although interestingly, Edge is the slowest browser to upload with.

Edit: Scratch that - now I can only upload at 4Mbps to OneDrive from anywhere.

So next troubleshooting step would be to get the IP address that the traffic is going to (wireshark would probably be best, or resource monitor on windows) and once you have the IP, run a trace to it from your machine so we can see what path it takes.

On 28/12 I reported to cool ideas that the cable connecting my house and the Vumatel pole is very loose Ticket ID: #COOL-20171228-65667 I got a SMS from Vuatel with reference no 35934 . Until now I got 3 phone calls from Vumatel asking me if a technician was here but no technician . Phone Vumatel they told me to wait after 10 minutes I hanged up .What should I do now ?

Hi Bryn,

I have a Octotel/CISP 100/100 solution, and when uploading 7gig video file to OneDrive I get 7 MB/s.
I've tested it with App and also Browser. What I see, it doesn't go and stay at 7 MB/s it jump a-lot in the beginning.

On the pic you can see the server I'm connected to (removed all the other connections / focus on this one only).
