I was at a friends last night. New Xbox One X release and he got one. Bunch of updates for games because of 4K etc. The server might be having some heavy load at the moment.

Forza 7 was 150GB.

Yeah, that might do it... I see there error alerts on the Xbox site...

So I just updated the speedtest.net iOS app.
When opening the app it says “finding optimal server” and then chooses either Windhoek or Lusaka..

Does this have anything to do with CISP or is it the app being buggy?

Can confirm that this is an app bug - did the same when the update came out and had the same thought, I've tried on different ISPs and it seems to default to Windhoek every time

Hey PBCool
Is there something going on, on your side? I was playing BF1 tonight and at around 21h15 our latency jumped from 12ms to 184ms. I tried all the DNS servers and they gave the same result. After that I did a quick speed test and ping and both for local connections were around 180ms - 200ms.

It seems to be on the5th hop.
5 184 ms 184 ms 184 ms 154.0.1.249

FIXED: It seems to have fixed itself around 23h00. Alls good again :)
5th hop.

No changes on our side, more than likely the host making changes.

@PBcool

I'm currently on CISP Vumatel 20/2 option, what do I need to do to upgrade it to 20/20.
Do I go through the vumatel portal, the CISP portal, send a email, phone etc and how long will it take to activate ?

Vumatel Trenched or Aerial?

Trenched is easy. Go to shop.vumatel.co.za (must be device on the fibre line), then choose the CISP 20/20 package. Then you can choose instant or 1st of next month.
Yeap spot on :).

is there any charge for up/downgrading?
if one chooses instant, is the 'new' amount owed adjusted accordingly?

No charge, accounts will pickup the upgrade and issue a prorata invoice for the difference.

I have downgraded and upgraded in the past, never needed to reboot the CPE. Sometimes however the router didn't pick up the new DHCP lease, so the router might need a reboot. CPE wont.
