Hi PBCool

I've ordered my instalation from Vumatel and am just waiting for them to call for an installation date. I've seen the excellent feedback on the forum and decided to go with Cool Ideas. Looking forward to being with you guys soon!

Great stuff :).

I applied a week ago and no feedback....not even a reference number?

When upgrading the line speed through the Vuma portal, how long does it take to happen?
I'm guessing both Vuma and CISP needs to enable this?

Hi everyone....ok i seem to have a problem here.
i applied for fibre with cool ideas a week ago...as i mentioned i did not get a reference number or anything, so i called, and the guy said i must first apply with SADV , so i did....but then thats what i got back:

"Thank you, your application has been received and sent to cool ideas, a cool ideas representative will call you shortly"

so i am a bit confused....

starting to thing the solution is to apply with a different ISP.:-(

Cool Ideas will get back to you now that SADV has sent them the application.

Just needs to happen via the Vumatel portal, we have automatic approval. Takes 10mins usually.

PBCool, I have applied to have my 2 numbers ported to VOIP. Does Cool Ideas get the numbers and ADSL cancelled from Telkom in the process or will I need to cancel my ADSL?

You would need to cancel both services, but you can only do the analogue lines once porting is complete. Otherwise there is a risk of losing the numbers.

Ahh ok cool, no problem! Will wait till porting is done to cancel everything.

Just for reference.

While still at work I logged into the CISP client zone and updated my line speed. When I got home, still nothing. I phoned CISP support and they say I should order through Vumatel as well. I do this and 10 minutes later I'm flying along.

Yeap exactly the process for now, you will be able to do this via the coolzone alone soon.

Anyone else seeing weirdly high packet loss at the moment?
