@Orihalcon
I'm on a 10/5mb line via Frogfoot/Vox Telecom from Century City and getting 1ms higher pings than jannier.

I'm gaming mostly RB6 Siege and very happy. In game I'm getting between 145ms and 165ms (at worst), on average 150ms.

Thank you jannier. Even better since your location is just to the north of me. I'm in Brackenfell South. So I'm glad there are no area issues like some others are experiencing.

Give me IPs and I can do some tests, I am in Brackenfell North on CISP.

Hi Cool Ideas Rep.

I recently got fiber through Metrofibre and they are my ISP. I constantly struggle with not having an IPv4 internet connection and I have had enough of there exorbitant pricing. I have checked on other ISPs and my complex does come up (we went live in December) however your guys coverage map does not. Please could you advise me as I would really like to have our home internet with you guys. Also, how does the process of changing from Metrofibre ISP to cool ideas work? Do I need to cancel or would you guys do the admin?

We cover wherever Metrofibre has presence, which coverage map are you using?

Process to move is simply cancel with MFN and get a cancellation date. Then apply with us and let us know when the date is that your line will be released. We then organise the rest.

I am using this map: https://www.cisp.co.za/coverage/

Is it possible to PM you my address to see if I have coverage? I do have with other ISPs.

With regards to cancellation, do I have to pay installation/activation fees once again?

Yeah that map isnt officially used as yet, if you want to confirm coverage just mail [email protected] but if you are on MFN then we can service your house.

Okay thank you. Do I have to pay installation/activation fees again, if so, what are the prices?
Nah you don't pay an installation fee for a service move :)

Will the archer c2 work with 100/10. We'll upgrade to 200/200 and still use the same router.

Tks guys.

Yeap it will, but we only supply the c2 with the 200Mbps service.

Hey! PB! :D good evening and tks.

Thinking of buying a good router privately and starting on 100/10 with a view to upgrading if all goes well. What do you think of that idea.

Vuma trenched.

Yeah nothing wrong with that, you can always use the optional router as an additional access point.

Which fibre provider and you've obviously testing over cable? There are no network related issues on our end.

Great tks again.

Very last question I promise. Will DNS services like getflix that are set up on various devices work with fibre?

Well there is no reason why it shouldn't.

North Riding Evotel completely down.... Orange light on the router.... if maintenance some warning would have been nice

Still down completely since 11 pm last night, orange light on router, restarted multiple times, no fibre for over 6 hours, beyond a joke
