PBCool Can’t you increase the max limit on your queues for 100mbps ( Vumatel Aerial ) service just a tiny bit. Keep getting 99mbps on speed test. Hehe. It’s a mental barrier and doesn’t work well when showing off my internet to friends

My speedtest always starts at around 110mbps and then settles on 100-101mbps by the end of the test. Are you sure you have a gigabit link speed from your router to your your ONT? Have you tried connecting your PC directly to the ONT to test that it is not something on the router causing this like QOS? Don't let your friends troll you, show them the download speed in MB/s instead :)

Our queues are actually set to 110/110 so it's the line limit that would be the bottleneck or a 100Mbps port on your router.

Thanks then we will need to log with Octotel, do you get the same results at any time of the day or does it vary?

Just as reference this is what I get on Vumatel.

Vox

Cybersmart

CI Randburg

Why is the upload to local servers lower than 200Mbps, but to Cool Ideas in Randburg it is nearly 200Mbps?
And the reverse on Download, Local is 200Mbps but to Cool Ideas Randburg 111Mbps?

Chances are your device is taking longer to generate the traffic for upload, where as on the higher latency it has more time. As far as the download from JHB not sure, you may be able to tweak the settings for a larger file via command test.

What is my upfront payments to join. I have vumatel in my street
You need to pay for your line installation with Vumatel which is R1725.00 and then you get prorata billed for the month when your service starts.

Got a question. When a build is still to go live who is responsible to keep us updated about date changes.

Our live with frogfoot again changed to 24 May. I got no communication from either them or cisp. They claim its the isp who needs to keep me updated. Last year they would send weekly emails or atleast have a facebook/twitter/ website update.

Delays are frustrating but its even worse when we aren't told...

It varies really but is usually the guys implementing that need to update the respective home organizations. I am finding out if there have been any comms to us, but it doesn't look like it.

Thanx PB. I think they dropped the ball here and are trying to cover themselves.

As it doesn't seen either you guys nor lynwood fibre initiative were made aware of the date change.

The cmd line results where pretty consistent from Early this morning ( 00h00 to 02h00 ).
Testing over the last +- hour also seem pretty consistent ( download ave at +-150 )6-05-2018-14h00-15h50.JPG

PBCool are you aware of any issues on SADV?

I can't get more than 17 meg download on a 50 meg line. Upload is fine...

No alterts from SADV unfortunately.

Kudos to cool ideas and PB for a super quick and painless transfer in :)
Nice to play d3 with predictable latency again...

I have been having extremely slow download speeds on and off since I upgraded from 20/20 to 50/50 throught Cool Ideas SADV.

The Cool Ideas SADV network is obviously completely overloaded during peak times like Sunday afternoon and evenings etc.

I am getting so pissed off I think I might cancel and start using CellC yearly prepaid which is faster.

DOWNLOAD 4.56 Mbps download this evening with PPPoE lan connection and wifi modem unplugged

So what's the issue? I've disabled everything on my network to make sure there's nothing using any bandwidth and it's still the same. Is this a peak hour issue?
