Re SADV

Dear Valued SADV Customer

The team localized the point of fault along the route W2P01 where external contractors damaged the cable.

An additional floating team has been dispatched to site to assist. We will keep you updated on the progress of the work.

This matter is being treated with urgency and our technical team are working tirelessly to ensure that the issue is resolved.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience and understanding

Urggg, this packet loss is becoming annoying. Cannot play online games at all.

No feedback on my ticket yet either so I have no idea if they've even started looking into the problem.

We have no feedback from Octo either, so same thing unfortunately :(

Hey guys. Friend if mine recently got fiber installed, and is looking to get connected with his own router while waiting for the cisp one. He got a message saying he must use dhcp rather that pppoe if on the vumatel network. is this correct? he was provided with a username and pwd which i assume would be for a pppoe connection.

New customer on Cool Ideas (Openserve fiber), been reading all the positive comments about them so pulled the trigger.

I applied for openserve fiber on Thursday the 10th, openserve phoned me on the 11th to schedule a installation at my place for the 12th.

Everything went smoothly, now I am just waiting on my account. Should probably get that tomorrow, really impressed so far.

Can I give you a test account to try?

PBCool, I don't guess you received any updates about the Octotel issues in Table View?

Something also looks very wrong with routing to the telkom network.

PBCool - What are the expected fibre ping ranges on OpenServe? I'm based in Port Elizabeth and I'm hearing a lot of chatter about Fibre being around 5ms - 20ms ping. My average has always been 35ms - 60ms when testing to Cape Town or Randburg but 70 or higher when trying to test directly to PE (guessing because of routing).

With DNS set to auto I just get one nameserver, `154.0.1.1`. Not sure if that's possibly related or if there's any others I should try that might help?

Last test to Randburg:
