Same here. Need it for work, can reach their main website, but can't get a connection to our Slack workspace - also having issues connecting to Dropbox.

Using OpenServe fiber.

I changed to Google DNS 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 in my router setup and that has worked around the issue for me. There is something odd with the Cool Ideas DNS servers in Cape Town - in my opinion.

I've been noticing the same thing with the DNS, twitter (images, videos hosted on twimg.com) dies during night time to late midnight. And is fixed the following morning.

Quick feedback, everything is working now, Slack & DropBox. Thanks! (using default CISP DNS - 154.0.1.1)

Give me some examples and the time and Ill have it looked into for you.

[MENTION=394133]PBCool[/MENTION] - there appears to be a DNS problem in Cape Town, worked around it by using Google DNS. Do we need to log an issue, or is it being looked at?

Do you have examples for me, logging is always suggested :)

Eh, I am confused - I have been providing the Slack example: https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showth...P-Feedback?p=21506921&viewfull=1#post21506921

This does not work on your CT DNS server, but does work on Google DNS. Apparently it works on your JHB DNS server.

Edit, nope not working on 154.0.0.1 either for me:
Code:
dig @154.0.1.1 mpmulti-47dz.lb.slack-msgs.com

; <<>> DiG 9.10.6 <<>> @154.0.1.1 mpmulti-47dz.lb.slack-msgs.com

[MENTION=394133]PBCool[/MENTION] Do you know if there are any general faults in the Table View area (with Octotel)? My line has been completely dead since 10:25am.

No reported issues, please log as a line fault as normal.

No that's fine thanks :).

Looks like my Slack & Dropbox is down again :(

Try changing the DNS servers in your router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google DNS) and see if it helps. This workaround fixes the slack issues for me.

Yup, both working now with Google's servers. Thanks phuma.

Hmmm.

For whatever reason I cannot access www.imgur.com while on my CISP account. Even the app doesn't work. Works on my cell provider.

So far that's the only site I found that does not load. Weird.

Anyone else willing to test? Very random.

Edit: DNS switch got it working. Both google and cloudflare dnd works. CISP dns does not resolve the site. Huh.

Any reason you guys don't use Google or 1.1.1.1 dns servers?

The DNS thing should be resolved by the way, please test again for me.
