I am trying to fill in the online order form but where do I enter the CPE object number?

Also no comms from Cool Ideas on this.

Finally moving to an area which is actually physically covered with fibre and where I can get Vumatel and CI (and not where the map is wrong as it was for my previous address).

But now, the issue is that I can’t order at all through Vumatel, their website says that my address (in Sandton and in the middle of the map) is not in South Africa.

Vumatel obviously doesn’t answer to tweets and not yet to my email.

Can I apply directly to CI and CI applies to Vumatel on my behalf? Otherwise, I’ll just go to Cell C.
Yeah I can help just pm me your address and we can have it resolved.

PBCool Dropped you a mail for Tuscany Village (SADV) in Rustenburg. Site is live, handed to operations. SADV Operations reckoned they will proceed to install next week. I've signed up with you already on 18 May, please assure synching up CPE install with Router. Telisha has my details.

Thank you.
Cool will check it out.

Hi, I have the following router that I am using. Not sure if it makes any difference.

Netgear N600
WiFi DSL Modem Router
802.11n Dual Band Gigabit

Fast DSL. Dual Band WiFi. One Less Box.
Now you can have fast Internet and fast WiFi all-in-one. With an integrated DSL modem you won’t need a separate modem from your service provider. N600 dual band WiFi helps keep your video streaming uninterupted. Setup and control is ultra-easy using NETGEAR genie.

Model: DGND3700
Just drop me a PM to add another IP to your account and we can test from there.

Try PBCool in replies. But I think he is also on Vumatel and may be without Interwebz.. (but why no 3G backup for CI support).

Else remember today is a public holiday and maybe support is on skeleton staff..
Nah I'm here, we got the same info from Vumatel about the CPE story but sounds more like something at one of the pops.

Vumatel needs to run their equipment on the other side of the fibre on a UPS and generator or whatever. I know a few months after my line went live we used to have frequent power outages and my line would drop immediately as the power went out, with my CPE running on a UPS. They did fix this again after I logged a ticket for it.
They usually do this.

Ok, fixed.

Went to edgemead to get my chip or whatever, plugged it in and working fine now.

Very strange.

So if you are edgemead/monte visa or plattekloof glen, getting the new chip from the VUMA guys at edgemead shopping center will sort the problem (check your mail or follow SMS instructions).

Did you have to take the CPE with you?

My question is how this "chip" could get damaged by load shedding when we had none. Also, mysteriously no other equipment got damaged?
