What do you play? I experience similar issues on BF1 and assumed it was the game server.
I’m really happy with Cool Ideas and have no issue with stuff like 4K streaming, but gaming can be variable
On this same subject, anybody that play CSGO on CI, do you also have packetloss ?
Just want to see if I am an isolated case, been keeping support busy over a month and they are stumped.

I play CSGO on Coolideas from Cape Town Northern suburbs, Vumatel trenched. Have 0% packet loss and average variance of only 0.25ms and average latency of 25ms according to net_graph. This is throughout the afternoon from 4pm to the evening up to 9pm, at which time I retire to the bedroom so dont know after that.
I dont actually remember if I ever had an issue with CSGO, other than when the national backhaul link between JHB and CPT died some time ago.
Edit: If you have packet loss, do you play on wifi or cable to the router? What router do you have and which FTTH network?
Have you looked at the CPU usage on your router? If you have the wrong ports open/forwarded on your router, and a botnet is spamming it causing the cpu to run at 100%, you will have guaranteed packet loss regardless off if you on a 100/100mbit line and cable link from router to pc.
Do you have a CSGO server IP for me?

When the network went down for most of the day it was to address the capacity related issues, they rolled back the change because they couldn't resolve the fault. They are working on another plan, I have requested an update on what that is as they have simply kept us in the dark on all of this.
Hi, so it went down today? Looks like an exact rerun of last week where they failed and had to roll back? This is getting tiresome now. Do they not have competent engineers to look at this problem which is now in it's forth week. Yet everyone is happily debited our accounts for the full fees.
Thanks for you detailed response.
I am also northern subs CT trenched Vuma but I think we are on different pop's, I am connected to Panorama Primary, which has only been live +- 2 months. No port or CPE or GBIC changes done yet.
Full cabled always, ruled out my firewall by connecting directly to CPE, Iperf show UDP packetloss as well, ping average on net graph is 40-50 ms, does not matter if peak period or off peak.
Firewall CPU sits at 2%

The outage today was unrelated, their feedback is as follows:
"We were working to have finalised the plan to migrate your routes within our core routes today. However a few outstanding items remain, still to be resolved. We have a 10:00am session with our engineers tomorrow to settle and resolve the outstanding items, and we can confirm the plan to implement the changes afterwards."
Unfortunately we get charged in full as well, frustration for all parties involved trust me.
Lol you assume correctly, Valve IP at NapAfricaI assume thats not your CSGO server ip![]()
