MFN update:
We have finalised plans today to implement a change to address this issue. This change has been scheduled for implementation Tue 7th Aug, 2:00am – 4:00am. Due to complexity of change, we request a technical contact from your side, to verify implementation is successful, once the implementation is completed.
Many thanks, what all will this upgrade or maintenance do in terms of changes for users.
Unfortunately not, only MTN as an ISP can use the ONT as a router not 3rd parties.Hi PBCool, I'd like to join Cool Ideas but would like to reuse the MTN ONT/Router instead of having 2 routers .. is this possible?
Resolve congestion in certain areas at peak times. Many thanks, what all will this upgrade or maintenance do in terms of changes for users.
Nope not normal have you logged it with support?
Sure will check it out, PPP being down would mean the layer2 was down from SADVs side.Hi PBCool I logged ticket with support regarding the PPPoE downtime that our complex had, still waiting for meaningful feedback as to what happened. #COOL-20180731-129535
Also been waiting over two weeks for a speed upgrade on SADV, supposedly was escalated to management but if you could assist I would appreciate it. #COOL-20180718-125128
Thank you.
Ok I just now also experienced the packet loss at 6:45pm it started. Packet loss would spike to 19% then go back to 0%.
Incredibly difficult to catch with an MTR, which doesn't show it as packet loss, but I do see latency spikes.

Hop #4 , check the _worst_ column, that shows what I see. Lasts for 5 seconds, then go back to normal. All the hops 4-9 all at the same time.
Does it get worst at peak times? There's no loss on the longhaul.Packetloss in CSGO going rampant tonight, I have given up, going to watch TV rather.
Support also now very very quiet![]()

Which is from your PC to the handover point on our network.I get it any time of day, not just peak times. I also do not see icmp packetloss but UDP loss is present.
I did Iperf's to and from CT and JHB servers and all of them had UDP loss,
Here is a test done 1 minute ago, 19% loss to trcvmh01.cisp.co.za

Honestly I don't believe what we have said to them has made any difference. If there is any improvements it's not because they are listening to us. Either they are aware of their network in shambles and don't know how to fix it or they are aware and are busy trying to fix it.I am happy to say that whatever you said to TTConnect seems to have worked!
A lot less dropouts in the last few days.
So how did it go? Peak was about 75MbpsI'll have you on speed Dial![]()
