Well, which is it?
Cool Ideas is more than a couple months old. If you have only had Fibre for a few months.. you obviously haven't been with them from the beginning.

I smell BS.

Smell? I'm gagging at the reek at the moment.

Cool story bro - but wtf has that got to do with anything?

To the OP - have you considered that it might not be a CoolIdeas issue? What network are you on? Vumatel?
I've been with Coolideas for the last 12 months. Zero complaints

That's my speed over a WiFi connection to the router. Its been like this all year.

As someone mentioned; a lot of people on these forums have similar experience to me without complaints. So I would perhaps do a bit more than just a bitch thread - you say you have no time to sort the issue out, but you got time to sit online and bitch about it?
Doesn't add up.
Your cock is harder - enjoy :)

How long is the installation time with CISP? I want to sign up ASAP. Fibre is all the way into my place - they just need to do the ONT. Do they sub contract someone to do that part of the install?

I’m cancelling them, letting people know about my experience. Not my fault you live by them. It doesn’t take much time to share my experience here does it? I had no complaints up until now, except for the first day when they installed the CPE, the ping was high and that fixed it self. You don’t have to add up anything, service is a big thing for me. I’ve tried to resolve it, submitted a ticket on their site and got no response until I called in and asked why has my ticket been ignored? Since they are so good, their support shouldn’t be too cluttered up, and their call center agents should be a bit more educated as the person I spoke to wasn’t very helpful either.

Im talking about the beginning of my FTTH, you can go sniff your BS haha. I haven’t been with any other ISP

Have you doublechecked on your router that your cable to the ONT unit is not running at half duplex ? I have had this issue with a faulty ONT unit that if I used auto negotiate it somehow synced at 100Mbit half duplex and not at 1Gbit full duplex. My speed were all over the place and mostly dying every couple of seconds.

Since you are on 100Mbit or lower package. On your router depending on the brand you would be able to force the port speed going to the ONT to a set speed , force it to 100Mbit and avoid using auto negotiation.

So when you get a chance please complete the wingnut test for us.

The Wingnut Test:
1. One attempt at everything.

http://www.speedtest.net/
2. Local speedtest - auto select
3. London, first on the list.
4. New York, first on the list.

https://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/
5. Bandwidth place test.

https://testmy.net/download
6. Testmy.net, manual test, 100MB.

http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest
7. Dslreports.

http://speedtest.googlefiber.net/
8. Googlefiber speedtest

9. 100 packet mtr test to 5.39.226.191 (optional)

A question - what results would be considered average, good, or great from this wingnut test?

Let me give this a ago, I’m using the TP-WR840N that they provided me with.

So what package did you have with them "from the beginning"?
I had 100/100, worked perfectly. Could stream on twitch with no lag. Downloads always on point. Downgraded to a 50/5, a month later went back into a 100/10 as I don’t stream on twitch anymore but I preferred the speed of a 100 obviously. Happy days from there. Up and download speeds were fine up until last month, I left it alone assumed there could be a few issues with Vumatel or something. Submitted my ticket with zero response which is what pissed me off, phoned in a couple times, nothing been done. Completely ignored. i Eventually got a response after being on the phone.

Bleh. I'm going to report you for trolling and/or being an absolute liar.
You obviously the cool guy hey? Knows everything and the judge of all. Report, don’t care if I get banned. Your smart comments are wrong.

google is bad? :crying:

Such a quick google? Nah, I think they are good, but this just sort of smells like a clone being thrown under the bus. Then again, I am cynical and suspicious by nature :)

Anyway - AFK for a while. Have fun.
