Lovely days.

As an aside, 4-6 weeks says Frogfoot, so the wait is on:

Frogfoot's portal is fun, look at that current wait time on orders being blank.

Also will move to your VoIP solutions, so that's a R300 saving overall while getting uncapped. Should have checked earlier when my Afrihost OpenServe contract ran out, they changed their conditions from 18 months to 6.

I ordered last week - Pinelands, Cape Town.

Frogfoot called me today to install on Wednesday

Let's see how it goes

Vuma durbanville sync but no internet at all.

At this rate the networks would come back online right as the next loadshedding kicks in.

Vuma Trenched, CPT, Durbanville

Major packetloss on international:

If only I belonged to some ISP that informs the customers that there's currently issues... Fortunately I love paying for services which involves me troubleshooting if its working as it should.

Happy to discover that I'm now getting 143 ms in Apex Legends to Sao Paulo.

But here's the weird thing. Doing tests via speedtest.net, or other http traffic sites show my latency to Sao Paulo at between 230 and 300 ms.

The moment I check my ping via a game, 140-150, either in-game or using tools like this: https://pingtestlive.com/fortnite

Cape Town, Brackenfell, Vuma Trenched 200/200 is back up , but international seems to be running on backup link "eassy", increased latency and very slow throughput. Had to recycle the power on the CPE to get connection.

Any idea what is happening with vumatel trenched in Durbanville ? Since 16:30 return from loadshedding there is no IP / internet connectivity. Light is synced but nothing beyond that.

Lol, 15 mins waiting on the call center, then it seems like its crashed as soon as I got to the front of the queue.

the whole country is struggling, ESKOM stage 4 load-shedding, alles op gefok, mobile, internet exchanges, ISP's Fibre networks .........

So there is no Cool Ideas issue?

Most likeky an overall internet infrastructure problem, which is affecting all

During loadshedding when a suburb gets power again vumatel experiences what is called a DHCP storm on their trenched networks.

It can sometimes take an hour or more to resolve.

Again, not something we can control or fix.

If it was PPPoE on our own infrastructure we could auth thousands of users within a few minutes.

I have no doubt this is not a CISP issue but its been nearly 3hrs now and Vumatel CPE do sync but not able to get any IP as I suspect is the case with the others commenting here with the same problem.

Yeah... Makes sense. The other times were only stage 1 or 2 loadshedding, so can only imagine how many cpes are yrying to connect
