Seems your actual line is down. Might want to log a ticket.

Just an update on this, my line came back up around 10am. CoolIdeas support seems unaware of any issue in our area during that time, so it's a tad worrying - it was down for almost 12hours. My neighboring units that use the same Vumatel connection (but different ISPs) all had working internet. This morning I also noticed a momentary drop:

But for now things seem fine...

Vumatel are retards... never in my LIFE did I think I would say this but;
I'm considering changing to openserve.

I suspect Vuma just experienced a fibre break. This literally looks like traffic had to reroute (the blip I noticed) and now something is bottlenecked for users like @phuma because I don't see the same packet loss, although I am probably 5km away from him, being in Bellville North vs Durbanville.

For reference:

Line down since this morning (LOS flashing on the ONT).

Cool ideas confirming that it’s on Vumatel’s side (knowing that my body corporate was digging with jackhammers just before it went down...).

I feel that it’s going to be a long long wait before getting fibre again.

I'm seeing consistent packetloss to 155.93.248.1 from kenridge.

How is forgfoot as a FLP? I'm on openserve at the moment, but have an order in with them for a 100/100 becuase they are R500pm cheaper than OS.

FF only just trenched past my complex, but if they are as crap as some of these other companies you guys have been complaining about, then I'd rather pay the extra for a stable connection.

Thanks

Rather pay the extra - I've been with FrogFoot for about 8 months now - its the only option in my area unfortunately. The experience has not been great. My speeds have been sub-par since installation, and FrogFoot point their fingers at the ISP, and the ISP points their fingers at FrogFoot, and nothing ever gets resolved.

Rather the devil you know

Truly impressed.

Vumatel was at my place 1h30 after I logged the ticket with CISP.

And it's repaired.

@PBCool & @TheRoDent
Please can I ask you to check up on Ticket #COOL-20190325-241595
It has been another 24hours.. no update.

between 17:15 and 22:30 my line performs about on par with a 20mbps for local, and way less for international **2mbps**.

the actual line is about the best I've seen it. its usually ~-25-ish.

Mdu is investigating the line for you. Signal doesn't look too great.
