Hi, so here's a single example of the weird timeouts I am getting on my line. They were gone for a few days but now they are back. Again, this is on a wired connection. As you can clearly see at 14:41:30 on the first three images, my traffic dies but it's not my internal network (last image is pings to my router).

Any ideas guys? I don't mind dealing with slower international but this type of problem really bugs me.

So I went and used the proxy here are the results:

No proxy:

Ping and uploads speeds are much worse using the proxy but international speeds download speeds are much better. So who is to blame is this a line issue by FF or a routing issue by CI?

Welcome to the club. What you are displaying happens to me every night with Octotel.

Look at the difference now even:

Lol. Well... Anyone know what this means? I'm going to try this out for a while.

Another one for the proxy club. Welcome brother.

No idea man. Your guess is as good as mine but the proxy is the only way I can watch twitch anymore and it seems like more and more in cape town are in need of the proxy so I hope the rodent is prepared to upgrade his server.

From your local ping you seem to be in Gauteng?
You should not be using the Cape Town proxy.

You must use the Johannesburg proxy: stuprx01.cisp.co.za port 3128

Does this proxy affect all traffic or just like, http/https? Is it possible this might help my timeouts?

Its only a browser proxy so only http/s traffic.

Okay. That's something I suppose.

Side note: does anyone else here play League of Legends? Wondering why my ping has gone from my usual 150/160 - 190/200. Apex pings are fine.

Ah thanx, didn't know there was two different ones. Will retest

Routing issues, if you browse 1 page back you will see TInuva giving some input.

Weird. Only affecting one of the games I play. The doubly weird thing is I can ping a Riot IP https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support/EdgptL4W-eune-server-ip or
Latencies are normal. Go in-game and my ping gets an extra 30-40 ms...

Why is the there so much latency and packet-loss %PL on your ASUS router?

I did a MTR to www.news24.com and my latency at Mikrotik is <=0 and 0% PL.

Code:

I have no idea why that reflects on the first three images, but if you check the one dedicated for my router it shows 0 packet loss. Guessing has something to do with PingPlotter?

Edit: Am investigating whether it's a device on the network causing this. Since my brother left my timeouts have stopped. He wasn't on his laptop and will need to check if something on his phone could be causing this problem.

Sorry, this is my absolutely last one because it was a monster! Check out that big boy at 16:35:00

Last timeout I'm posting for today. Hope this goes away like it did for the last couple of days. See 16:04:20

I just regret referring the landlord to install his 10Mbps line with cool ideas. I thought the R499 deal being the best and cool ideas also being one of the best fibre ISP's it's a perfect match. Been 2 weeks of back and forth to get the TP Link delivered from Rosebank to Centurion. After that the line has been working fine but the PPPoE details stopped working today. Support can't say why it stopped working they have created a ticket and pushed it to core networks or someone like that who is going to have a look. Account is paid and not in arrears but PPPoE details has been disabled for some reason.

Line works fine with any other ISP. Probably the last person I will refer to cool ideas.

The actual connection when it's working is pretty good so there is that.
What is your ticket number so I can investigate? That is why we are here for escalations :)

Vumatel are splitting their network up in Cape Town, I imagine this is due to Capacity upgrades.

Any feedback on the increased latency to some places in the UK? This ping is usually 140ms:
