@PBCool @CoolChick @TheRoDent As per my last update with traffic logs, I am investigating whether it's my brother's phone that might be linked to my timeout issues. Since he left at about 17.15 network traffic has (so far) returned to normal. It might be co-incidence, or it might be an app on his phone that's causing this problem. It's just weird because I haven't had any lag the last few days... Will investigate further.

Or his phone is infected with some form of virus as part of one of the apps he installed, and once on wifi it adds on with some form of dns amplification attack screwing over your router and connection performance because of the router.

No idea. He just got back home now so I'm monitoring my connection again.

I've been considering getting a higher end router, because at the moment I only have the cheapie TPLink CI provided and my slightly better Asus... will need to see if I can fit it into May's budget to see if I can fix this issue.

Any feedback on the increased latency to some places in the UK? This ping is usually 140ms:

Can you pm me your IP?

Is anyone else down in kenilworth Cape Town on octotel

Octotel has confirmed that they have had some ONTs reset to de-provisioned status within the Rondebosch/Claremont/Kenilworth area. (Known as the Rondebosch node)

They are working on it

EDIT: ONT will have green lights on PWR, PON and LAN. Internet will be off.

Have that kind of issue. Seems they dropped my line to the lower package.

@PBCool i remember mention that you guys are working on a new client zone, will we have account usage graphs? Any idea on the ETA?

@PBCool I have opened an official ticket for this, but I'm trying to resolve a new issue (unrelated to the timeouts on my connection). Here is the ticket number #COOL-20190414-252848. In a nutshell, from late Friday night early Saturday morning, latency for League of Legends has gone from 150ish to 190ish.

This may be related to a traffic issue in the UK:

Does CI route their traffic to Amsterdam through the UK? This might explain why the ping has gone up. Otherwise there's some other issue on your network.

Edit. Thanks to a little help, this has indeed been confirmed to be a routing issue. See attached screenshot.
