This is just to an NNTP server. Routes to web servers in Germany that I'm trying to work on are equally bad.
 
Forced onto a VPN just to be able to bypass CISP routing loops to access some of my remote services. This is staight up shameful at this point. CISP you win, I now know that you are not the same group of people and you choosing to ignore every single request for info I made since yesterday shows that you have no interest in responding.

I will be canceling my package with you guys end of this month, it was a good ride but being treated like **** and ignored is not worth spending my money with you guys. The fact you have been responsive around issues is what kept me with you guys and if you decide to stop acting in our interest then it makes you no different at this point to every other shitty support ISP we are all trying to avoid.

And everything just fell apart again, FANTASTIC service and FANTASTIC communication in this forum.

Did CISP get bought out or something, never ever seen such horrible responsibility and accountability out of them as the last 2 days.

This is just 2 examples, the list goes on and on between using static ip and the dhcp ip routing being completely all over the place. The DHCP ip is even worse where traffic is just dead for random intervals then comes back to life.

The only consistency between both cases is that traffic is all over the place still even though with static it is mildly more usable today even though at 1/10th expected speed.

This was an artifact of having to re-route international traffic via Johannesburg, as we previously mentioned. I disagree that we have been unresponsive, but we don't refresh this page every 30 seconds either.

This would appear to be loss on your local line. The international routing would not have changed anything for that. Can you send a winmtr to cptspeedtest.cisp.co.za and leave it running for a while through the periods you experience packet loss.

Which network are you on? Please PM me your account details so that I can ask our support team to have it investigated.

Oh come on, for the last 24hours I have been posting valid info and simply asking for an update as to the cause of the current mess. A handful of times you or PBCool were replying here with generic response yet every single time conveniently ignored every single post that contained some information about issue.

Still to this point you have not answered what the real issue is since yesterday, did not answer what the cause was and at some point still is relating to the packetloss starting at the first local CISP hop. The list goes on and none of these questions were responded to once.

Now you are telling me you are not refreshing the page every 30seconds which is laughable at this point and I never expected you to do such a thing but not addressing a single query I made in the last 24hours and conflating that with not refreshing the page every 30 seconds is disingenuous to say the least.

My very last post I have shown how there is even different routing occurring between static ip and dhcp ip, another issue you could have responded to rather than your single response trying to point the finger at me not being fair with you guys.

Taking all that into account you expect me to do what ? Praise you for ignoring every single valid question I raised ? Im not sure what the deal is here but the attitude of responses have changed drastically in the last month from being open to addressing issues to being so closed off that you refuse to tackle even the most basic request for information.

Don't worry I wont waste your time with any questions about issues that arise anymore. I get the message loud and clear, you do not want clients like me on your network. Say no more.
 
Disclaimer: I'm not a network engineer

Out of random interest (not that I'm affected), would it be possible to set up a temporary VPN server that users could connect to? Although the traffic would follow the same routes to either CT or JHB, wouldn't the traffic have a slightly higher priority? This could help to show if the FNO's are doing something stupid with either routing or prioritizing certain traffic

Same **** attitude I got when I queried an installation for a client I (stupidly) refered to them. Business is good.

This router of yours 192.168.8.1 that router has 76% packet loss.

Octotel 100/100 cape gate. WinMTR shows hardly any loss, but iperf and automated pings says otherwise.

Man when I think back two years ago about how excited I was for fiber it makes me feel like such a tool. "Don't have to worry about ASSIA, SNR when it rains or when its super windy, don't have to worry about the line getting old. No sir I'm going to step into world class internet." Yet here I sit today. Packet loss all around me, unable to watch twitch, unsure if websites are going to load and I've lost all faith in Octotel.

Sigh I should have known, this is South Africa. We don't have world class anything.
