Cool Ideas Fixed 5G/4G Feedback Thread

Are you still getting down/up speeds of 512Mbps and 56.4Mbps as you were previously ?
It is a wireless service at the end of the day so performance will always vary depending on multiple factors.

It varies, can't complain tbh.
It's gotten to the point where I forget that I'm on 5G.

I don't play video games and I work from home.

I tend to notice almost immediately when connectivity drops or is slow and that's only occurred a handful of times which is on par with my experience on fibre.

So long as I can do what I need to and enjoy the service without interruption I'm happy.

How did you use 2.97 Tb in a month? Don't they speed limit this package after FUP?

Cool Ideas is currently running a promotion where you can get 50% off a new 5G router subject to certain terms and conditions if anybody is interested.

The G5TS is currently selling for R750 !!! This is an excellent deal if anybody wants to sign up for a 5G service but has been deterred due to the high cost of purchasing a new router.

Great speeds !

Is your Rain Outdoor 5G CPE network locked as you might get even better results if you could install the CI/Vodacom SIM in that device?

Yup the Rain Outdoor CPE is network locked.

But I have a nice Huawei Mesh 3 setup connected to the Outdoor CPE.

I see this ZTE can do a Hybrid mode. So I wonder if I can connect my Huawei Mesh setup to it. And get 700-800mbps speeds. Using both Rain 5G and Coolideas

So the test worked.

It's really simple. Connect your fibre router or what ever internet connection to your WAN port of the ZTE router.

Enable bridge mode. And I am getting nearly 800mbps now.

Hi there, can you explain what issues you may be facing and your ticket number? Have you tried calling support as yet?

I'm trying to get 3 sim cards for freind and family members but they refuse to process my order. They said i need to have reselling account. My question is how many sim cards allow per user?
