Hi all

I just to go and buy myself speakers for my pc. Not to expensive, I do have a hi fi connected in the other room. Was looking for nothing over R500.

What is better?
Logitech or Creative?

Thanks:)

Creative specialises in audio. Not sure about Logitech. They make all sorts of stuff. I have 2 x Creative 2.1's and it's awesome! Pretty cheap too. Costed like R270.

Bwaahaaahaaa. Logitech will never be capable of that. Creative gets my vote.

I got Microlabs, and ill tell you what, they are loud and clear (witha little tweaking in Realtek EQ, they became better)

But i have logitech iPod speakers and they are good.

Its a tough one, but i would go with creative...

Logitech are rated as some of the best quality speakers out there, not only that they have much better technology as well.

Creative is the cheep brand, if you want the best go for logitech z5450. Nothing creative offers can even compare

And yet you're the only person who seems to have this opinion.

Not everyone is happy to pay thousands for headphones...

I've heard great about both, and Creative do have high end speakers - Gigaworks, being the counterpart to Logitech's Z series. They also have the I-Trigues which seem very nice.

I have the Z-2300 which is awesome, but I'm no audiophile so I can't comment extensively on the sound quality. I previously had a very low end set of Creative speakers, so obviously I can't compare them to my new Logitechs...

If you're looking to go sub R500 I'd go for a Creative Inspire 2.1 set, or if you can get a good price, a Creative I-Trigue 2.1 set. Both of there imo will be better than Logitech X-xxx speakers.

Im using creative and just the other day i heard someone pumping the same track with his logitech's, it sounded way too different, it's quality stuff compared to what i have.
Seeing as you dont want to exceed R500, go for the logitech 2.1

HD 280 Pro FTW!

uh-ha! I love my Sennheisers, longest I have had a pair of earphones without the L or R ear getting disconected or the cheap little earpiece getting dmanged!

There is also berhinger ear phones, a little more I think, but those... I have a friend that uses them as Speakers they are so loud!

My bad. That isn't too much. Though I much prefer music from speakers, even if it's not as good quality or anything...
