Happened to watch it when flicking thru channels. I thought it was awesome. Maybe because of the good performance of the SA ladies.Did anyone watch the 1st game of The Hundred, what's your thoughts on it?
I agree, it was much more entertaining than I thought it would be. The Saffas did great basically won the match.Happened to watch it when flicking thru channels. I thought it was awesome. Maybe because of the good performance of the SA ladies.
Bit weird about the 5 ball overs.
You?

I don't know why they don't just play T20s. Are you telling me there's people who can concentrate for 200 balls but not 240?

It's a money spinoff. Cricket has become commercialized sadly.
The powers that be decided that they hadn't bastardized the sport enough with the T20 format so they introduced 100-ball cricket...I have nothing against the commercialisation. It's done wonders for the West Indies, for example, where a generation ago, they were losing all their athletic talent to other sports, but now guys pick cricket for the lucrative T20 contracts. The T20 leagues are here to stay, and I enjoy them more than any ODIs. They don't detract from tests at all.
I'm just not understanding what 100-ball cricket achieves that T20 doesn’t.
Disagree. Some innovation is needed.I also agree...just stick with the T20 format.
How's knocking off overs innovative though? Would a 5 over match be the height of innovation?Disagree. Some innovation is needed.

To exploit the new bowling format and score more runs per balls bowled. How's knocking off overs innovative though? Would a 5 over match be the height of innovation?
