That double century by Shakib was quite special. Highest individual score by a Tiger. With Rahim the highest partnership. When Shakib was dismissed every Black Cap ran over to him to congratulate him... and Neil Wagner was the first. Great cricket all round.

Williamson's 89-ball hundred is among the fastest in the fourth innings of a Test. He put up a clinic - no cross-batted shots - just correct cricket shots with precise placement. Taylor provided an excellent supporting hand with his first half-century after the eye surgery. Believe it or not, the third innings of this Test started only after tea on the fourth day. And the weather ate up nearly 50 overs on the first day. One of the finest comeback wins, and it was only fitting that Williamson provided the coup de grâce to delight the Wellington crowd.

It also looks like there were a couple of the Tigers (incl. Rahim) who were injured off the field. Taylor had eye surgery and batted. I haven't read the report yet, but it sounds like it quite a tussle.

As well. I thought this was heading for a high scoring draw. Especially as it was also weather affected. Looking forward to when we go there. It should be a cracker of a series!

Pakistan 30 or 40 light here I reckon. They're going to have to bowl and field like demons to have a say. And getting Warner early is non negotiable!

Agreed. Batting first they have given the Aussies a reasonable chance of win.

Especially with 6 wickets in hand and two set batsmen. Still, they've started well with the ball (despite a dropped catch and a wicket off a no ball).
