You do know that they're playing Bangladesh right?

Do comments like this always need to be made? Should we not support them because it is Bangladesh we are playing?

If we were 20 for 5 would you still say it is only Bangladesh? Damn you still need to get out there and win the game!

I do believe the word we're looking for here is: context.

the set of circumstances or facts that surround a particular event, situation, etc.

No one ever said a word about not supporting them.

Yes because when you play real opposition then it's a different story. There's a reason why they are at the bottom of the rankings or close to it. Apparently your happy clapping moods are clouding your judgement :)

Seeing as though you stated context... perhaps you need to review the meaning of the word yourself, because even in the context of a one day game a run rate of 5.3 is good!

Your insinuation is that even if we reached 780 for the loss of no wickets it would be no achievement. This is the attitude I question. I personally feel 139/0 (which it was at the time of your comment) is good against any opposition!

And your little sarcastic comment at the end is a little weak... I fear your negativity is clouding your judgement and you now have an inability to celebrate anything. Shame what a sad way to live...

Yes Lance I'm so sad. * cries like a baby *
I can't celebrate anything. * cries again *

You need to stop being an optimist and be a realist for once in your life. And I don't mean that sarcastically. Your positivity is good, but a little over top at times and that is clouding your judgement.

Ha ha did you phone into 5FM the other day? Cos you sound like the guy who was trying to convince Gareth Cliff that he was not being negative but was being a realist... you know the reaction he got from the entire studio? Hysterical laughter and ridiculing!

It seems to be the standard argument nowadays. "Oh but I am a realist" ha ha ha. The funniest part is I like to think I am the one being a realist. So a bit of a stale mate isn't it?

139 without loss is good in anyone's books no matter the opposition!!!!!!!!! And scored at over 5 runs to the over. REALITY!!!!!!!!

be nice for the next test to start so that we can get short-pitched deliveries of a more entertaining kind

I'm chuffed Duminy is getting a nice run and nearing a century (albeit Bangla A).
At least if we need him we know he has got some time in the middle.

He just got it... and I agree 100% with you. Time in the middle against any opposition is priceless.

Its still first class cricket. The Bang A team has been in Eng for weeks now, and have even won some of the county games they played. For them its a huuuugeee game, they are playing against some of the best players in the world.

I did not really follow the whole argument above, cause I think its a bit silly. Its a mid week game, versus a 1st class team. The next test is only starting Wednesday, so instead of sitting around scratching their balls, they rather play a game of cricket. Thats why they play "warm-up" games. I like to keep a eye on any cricket SA play, even if it was a versus a county 2nd division team. And I would be happy we did well, and I would bit concerned/disappointed if we did not perform well, whether its Bangladesh A or Scotland's C team.

Dont really see your point in pointing out that its only Bangladesh A though.

Its not really about that though.

The point of these games are not to win, its to practice. And for Duminy to get a century is a good thing. He goes on tour as a reserve, the only chance he has to get into the team, is to impress his captain and coach in the games he does play. Same for Nel and Zondeki.
