No worry. I saw what I wanted to see.

The really bad news for Crystal Web is that they used to have 5421 customers but now only have 4170.
For those worrying about banking details - I'm just curious what banking details of yours Crystal Web has. In my case the most detail they have is which bank account I pay into and what I type in the message field to indicate that the payment is from me. If there are payment options where Crystal Web retains your banking info, then I must have missed those.
As a final note, I haven't gotten any email from Crystal Web. I have been away the whole day, and the first I hear of this breach is this thread.
Mail received. Router updated....
Easy Peasy.....oh look...life is moving on
You can't determine the rate of mail sent as you don't know the total number mails sent out.Not quite so easy for me. Crystal Web seem to be running Exchange as their mail server, at least I didn't receive my email until 02:00, a good 11 hours after the email contents were posted here on this forum. Of course I was asleep at 02:00, and by the time I woke up, my ADSL had disconnected and couldn't reconnect due to my password having been changed, which meant that I couldn't access my emails to get my new password.
Assuming that I was the very last person to receive the email from Crystal Web (not bloody likely), then Crystal Web are sending emails at a rate of 0.1 emails per second or 10 seconds per email. Assuming that I'm not the very last person to receive the email, then they're sending emails even slower than that.
All in all, Crystal Web should consider themselves extremely lucky that there is no other ISP in South Africa offering a decent product, otherwise I don't think I would have been a client anymore.
There really isn't much someone can do with your bank account details. The information in itself is of little value to anyone.
We have identified a minor breach of data and will be updating users later. We do not believe that the claims made are accurate but as a precautionary measure we certainly will be taking action, and the specifics about this will be communicated later.
Key phrase 'seen' - ignorance is blissAgain?!?!?!?! This alone, is now starting to become enough reason to not consider CW anymore.
I've never in my life, seen so many "security" issues from one single company in such a short time.
Key phrase 'seen' - ignorance is bliss
It is. But surely if there are people that are quick to post CW leaks then there are others that will do the same for other ISPs?
It sucks for CW that this happened again.
I don't think it's a matter of 'quick to post CW leaks' - it seems to be more along the lines of a deliberate, malicious attack. It is. But surely if there are people that are quick to post CW leaks then there are others that will do the same for other ISPs?
