Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

So finally got my usage report, but not split between free time and My normal cap so I'm still confused as to what of my actual cap I've used

Have you asked live chat what's going on?

So I couldn't take it anymore... I switched to WebAfrica on friday... didnt even wait for the end of the month... (My issues with CW here)

Roughly 2 months with no change, just bad performance, for me at least... Its definitely the not the same service I was used to a year ago. Like someone said, seems to be a trend among ZA IPSs, they come out with amazing deals and performance gain massive popularity, but ultimately fail under the load? who knows....

Whatever... They were epic, but now Im over it/them... for now I'm enjoying great speed and performance (decided to go capped this time @10mb) also have a working client portal and no more annoying daily emails :P

Which package did you choose?

I've been on uncapped for the past few years with various ISPs, but decided to go capped this time... 200GB + 1000GB (midnight - 6am) @10mb ... tbh I don't even download that much, so it makes sense... will see how it goes this month

Absolutely dog **** gaming tonight on CW to EU servers using OpenServer Fibre on a capped account.

No other way to describe it. Getting a 300ms+ ping to EU west servers and London. Fire up VoX and whalla - London back down to 155-ish where it is supposed to be.

I'm out. I'll be using a different provider come September. It was good while it lasted.

Looks like these days you need to hop to another isp every now and then just to have stable internet.

And here we are...after most of us upgraded from ADSL/VDSL to FTTH...we still get bent over...we use to complain about bad line quality (copper) now it's our providers shaping us into the ground...so we still can't win...we have the infrastructure but not the optimal service..ISP nor telkom/openserve can blame our "bad line quality" anymore...so what's the actual problem? If fingers can't be pointed at us or the providers...who does everyone point to to lay blame? Government?..Weather?..

Their support staff is aware of multiple incidents being logged relating gaming pings. It's being worked on apparently.

So much for CW Management account posting here a bit more regularly.

How the mighty have fallen. From a company that had a stellar communications ethic - disclose any and all issues (good or bad) and keeping clients informed - to being completely shut off to pleas. A shame.

Getting a little tired of the erratic performance of my service with CW as well. I came to CW on your recommendation, Orihalcon... lol. I'm keen to see where you end up next.
