Useless if you don't mention the ISP? Or is it on this problematic CW?
Cool Ideas.
Your R1500 will get you a 100M line on Openserv. With all those perks you mentioned...

Seems to have lasted much less longer than CW's ongoing issues. And CW clients are reporting DDoS attempts on their own connections. Looking at the other threads for Axxess, WebAfrica, CiSP, and Afrihost, they don't seem to have suffered quite as much, if at all.
EDIT: Even treebsd says the same thing, and he works for IS.

axxess, cisp & afrihost are not using IS.
AFAIK, Afrihost and Axxess use a "network" that basically aggregates bandwidth from different providers for performance and redundancy purposes, which includes IS.
Isn't IS listed as one of CiSP's partners?
PBCool - I think CISP gets some transit from IS, can treebsd confirm?Isn't IS listed as one of CiSP's partners?

They get transit from Echo who gets transit from Liquid for these two providers.AFAIK, Afrihost and Axxess use a "network" that basically aggregates bandwidth from different providers for performance and redundancy purposes, which includes IS.

Yeah we have some IPTransit with IS still.PBCool - I think CISP gets some transit from IS, can treebsd confirm?
This is fundamentally how every ISP works: https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/935459-Comparing-ISP-networks?highlight=
Huh, interesting. I was under the impression that several ISPs still maintained one or two backbones with the majority linking to Seacom/IS. Thanks for this. I'm pretty happy with Telkom Internet, though I wish fibre was in my area.
I’m actually worried that they may go under as a result of this.
Would be helluva sad.
So whose to blame for this CW issues? CW not getting the move to Evonet right? Evonet the issue? Who? Silence is deafening

DDoS kiddies.
