Cyberpunk 2077

Well it's going to be very interesting to see who out sells who now that the game is on all three of gog, epic and steam...
Will probably still be Steam seeing with their userbase.

But all third-party marketplaces and all physical retail sales will be GOG codes. That's a lot. My introduction to GOG was The Witcher 3. I was pretty annoyed initially.

This will probably be game of the year. Will have to wait and see.

Though I think that the mainstream prefers fantasy and magical instead of futuristic. Unless the futuristic is way out there like Mass Effect was where you travel the galaxy.

There's no guarantee at all. Cyberpunk has had serious development issues according to ex-employees, and not all feedback from closed door screenings at E3 has been positive. Some take issue with supposedly generic gameplay set in a future city and gunplay that lacks impact.

There are still some months of development left and CD Projekt Red has a good track record, so we can only hope they deliver the goods at the end of the day.

Just based on The Witcher 3 being my favourite game ever and the DLC being of insane quality, I'll be preordering Cyberpunk 2077 directly from GOG.

I think one thing that remains to be seen is if it's a full-on RPG, or a more straight forward open world FPS game with RPG elements. I don't particularly mind either, but it's a little unclear at the moment. I think part of the problem is the long lead time and hype-building has created a bit of an expectation that it will be a massive RPG game, whether it's true or not.

It doesn't need to be massive if the gameplay is good but I don't think it will live up to the hype if it's smaller than Deus Ex.

CDPR said a while back that Cyberpunk is much, much larger than The Witcher 3. So it should be a good size considering the verticality of a dense city.

This game will get my money. Brand new game for R729. Compare this to CoD that "pomps" out a game every year for R999. Basically the same game with new maps for R999.

Black Ops 2. I then realized I was paying the price for a new game and what we received was same game just different maps.

*Pokemon does not count, but you can include WoW here too :)

The guy is speaking BS. Here's the real statement.

They're not removing the option to choose but rather allowing more options. Where the old system asked whether you want to be male or female and chose all options to correlate with that the new one you explicitly have to pick those. So you could in essence pick a male character with a female voice. Why you'd want to I don't know but you could if you wanted to.

I'd like to choose one that looks like Chyna but sounds like Bender with Barbieesque queefs and a beer belly.

Thanks.
