Cybersmart slow as hell!

We have oneprice 384K at the office and it is def slower than my Telkom384K line at home

Latency is higher also.

Yes I'm telling you. they told me their servers can NOT handle the load and the exstra cables and servers they ordered from telkom is still not there. Telkom doesn't want to help them  No surprise there:sick:

Whats going on??

(Roughly 5 months later....)

Any improvement on the line speed? I really want to subscribe to Nightrider, but moving my line from telkom to cybersmart will be a road of no return...

Also, when changing your username from cybersmart.co.za to adsl.cybersmart.co.za or oneprice.cybersmart.co.za, does your email address also change?

ok first of all. Since you are going to use the nightrider you can't rename your account.

No your email address will still be @cybersmart.co.za

and the speed I have to say is much better. 8pm at night and I still get max download speed on torrents and http :)

Same here, on an oneprice account and getting great speeds, usually downloading at around 40KB/s on a 384 line all the time... and nightrider is great!

something i've been wondering about is .. is the account continually ON their proxy service?

Reason i ask this is i use an axxess saix account for myself and everyone else uses cybersmart at home but i've noticed that e.g. msn, facebook etc sometimes gives issues, is slow or doesn't work :s and as soon as i switch it works. Also when i look at the response to non existant pages the cache response is not from saix which is VERY interesting. :D reminds me of openweb's open browse except forwarding is handled serverside..

Nightrider is an awesome product. I feel bad when i download out of nightrider time. I get about 9gb out a month of usage on my 3gb account including and excluding nightrider time.

So just to confirm this again: downstream speeds at Cybersmart have imporved, correct?

Thanks!

All I can say is international has been bloody inconsistent for almost 2 weeks now!!!!

International has been cr@p for the last few weeks, no use phoning them as their tech support dont seem to really care.
