Hi guys

Just a quick rant...

Right - we know Cybersmart loves Seacom and when Seacom goes down so does Cybersmart (if you are a normal customer and not using a restored package).

That I can live with .. what I find annoying is :

1) Their support page does not show any message about Seaom (as in this morning)
2) To get rid of their "browsing block" on international sites ... you have to reset your router, surely if you have the brains to redirect international traffic to the "No Access" page, you should be able to switch that off remotely too!

Lastly .. checking the Seacom graphs .. I can't see a single break in activity for the last 2 days at least .. so I'd LOVE for Cybersmart to sell me .. sorry .. tell me that Seacom was down.

Yip so true....cant do jack....not evens my anti-virus cant update either....
and i wonder when that would be....available....
Eish.....if i knew just how hay....

Is this perhaps what you're looking for:

When Cybersmart say Seacom in down, I think they mean their Seacom service, not necessaril the Seacom circuit. its their link via Neotel to Seacom which was/is down...

so is it actually working again yet? according to the support page it says all circuits have been restored but i've restarted my router like 3 times and nothing o.O

As per my reply in the other thread:
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/338271-Cybersmart-s-quot-No-Access-quot-message

I was also wondering about that "All Circuits have been resorted", plus the "Access Denied" page I was getting mentioned a Seacom fault, now it just says I am out of international cap (which I am not) - so I called them up .. and .. they are still having issues .... (though they get some points for at least updating the support page .. usually they don't .... but they loose those points for updating it incorrectly - lol)

Hope I saved you a call ;)

Ever since I called...My internet access has been up and running...
No probs since then...
