Damn you, this is not Android 4.3

If the person that wanted an S3 mini with 4.3 is listening, a quick Googling session revealed that you can get 4.4 and CM11 running on an S3 mini.
 
^^Not everyone is a techie. Maybe CellC should offer free support to any of it's S3 mini customers: to upgrade.
 
Agree there - I can't upgrade my own phone ... ;)

Yes, but the advert should apply to everyone buying the phone. And not everyone wants to root their phone and install a new unproven and unsupported (by the manufacturer) ROM on there. And not everyone has the technical skills to do that. Saying that it's a viable solution to the ad is misleading.

You are assuming that I agree with lexis and marine1 as far as pettiness is concerned, which I do not.

It is a fact that the advert was incorrect and Cell C has taken steps to withdraw the advert and inform outlets accordingly.

It's debatable as to whether or not Cell C would have corrected its S3 mini adverts if the ASA were not shaking a stick.

I mentioned that one could get 4.4 running on an S3 mini if one really wanted to, and not for any other reason.
