I use DC for everything, and have no real probs. I pause my Astra while browsing, Skype fine, all my IM's work, and I managed 68GB in Feb on a 384k line.

This month, its flying, so I will do a lot more. I average 2.8GB per day down, and 800mb up, so its going good.

Weird...I got 54GB in Feb with a 512k line Mild package
O btw using BitComet gives a stable down speed from 10-20kB/s

DC is so far the cheapest but not the most dependent ISP

When it started, I got around 120Gb, then I got tired of the hassles.

Speeds are near perfect this morning. HTTP is still king average 130mb+ per hour :D Glad to see DC is getting all their ducks in a row :p

EDIT: Spoke too soon speeds are now between 20kB/s & 30kB/s.

has any one from dc posted any updates here recently? and does any one have some numbers on gaming on the dc network or is that still taboe?

Secondlife kicks ass with DC.

It uses only around 50-80kbps when not running around or moving the camera around. There is not much difference to the lag everyone feels in SL, since even on 20MBps fibre lines, people from around the world need to operate at the SL sim server limits.

I found that if others have no lag, I usually have none. I have not looked at other games, since the all the genres of whole world and then some, are in SL.

For me, SL FPS games are fast paced and fine on DC, with decent frame rates of 15-30, depending on the other variables.

have had a great weekend with DC.....hope I am not evoking the curse......qiqiqqiqi

Hehe! There's no curse...telkom and the rest usually are down as often as DC. They are truly doing just fine when compared to threads about other ISPs. :D

I also feel that the speeds may still be a little low and would like for DC to start working on this issue as soon as possible. That said, telkom is almost always at a lower than paid for speed.

Do a MyConnectionPC test on both telkom and DC right now and you will see that both's graphs look pretty bad and similar, like those I have posted when the service is almost broken on either ISP. Note the top speed for telkom is below what you should get and it's set as the ceiling(flat tops of the peaks).

All true when telkom actually works ;) In the past 2 weeks telkom have dropped the adsl around here more than once. Hopefully it's something to do with upgrades (seen a ton's of fibre being laid :D).

DC speeds this whole weekend have always average 30kB/s + which is more than good, it's great. In a 12 hour period (7am to 7pm) I downloaded 1.2 gigs without trying.

I doubt people can say DC hasn't improved. DC has a lot of bugs still to fix but I'm happy. Thanks for your updates it's nice to see DC are improving in all areas though Pidgin seems to timeout often. Single thread downloads need work, but as I've said I think we're off the virtual pipe system

Any way happy downloading guys & gals we've all earned it :)

I agree with all the above, speeds have been great, no major problems except i have noticed that programs like "emule" are still not working very well, takes a few hours to reach about 30KB/s and then the line drops and it starts all over again, but all in all im very happy with DC

And once again Digichilli is dead, why does it always happen when you NEED to use the net?
