DigiChilli January Status and feedback

Dude don't get me started...not going to post the gigs i did last month...then you will be "mmmmm that's why the network is#@!@# cause of people raping it..." China's when it's good it's good, was doing my gigs and everyone else was too...one whole week of bliss....i'm happy sitting here on my prepaid, waiting for the racing light to go green again.

DC Fanboy.

Ahem ... +1 for me

+1 For me as well!

I just paid yesterday and am waiting for login details. DC worked well. I kept everyone up to date, as did others. There are problems. Funny, every time I read about sudden problems, they're problems affecting other services also.

Then we have the ones who seem to derive a perverse pleasure from personally insulting the owners of ISPs...

It is commendable that even through their tough times, there are those of you, who are willing to stand by DC.

However as long as DC has enough clients that accept all the downtime, excuses etc. They will have no reason to improve. So in fact by just letting DC get away with it all the time, you are doing more harm in the long run than good!

If Dave took my money and ran, What have I lost...? R240 after a month of free use. If he didn't, what did you lose...? My respect.

Take just one guess which is more damaging in the long run...

Complaints serve a purpose. Look back a few posts and explain the purpose of those personal attacks.

That's exactly why I left:)

Stay gone.

@Dave,

So as promised, I got back from my holiday and the first thing I did was to sign up for the DigiChilli Spicy Package.:D

Now the question @Dave is, why is it that my 4Mbps line is downloading at the full speed up to 450Kbps? Not that I am complaining. Once again thanks Dave & DigiChilli.:D

Am I going to get one those nasty emails again and/or is my account going to be suspended or is this just temporary. Late Christmas present perhaps?

Thanks Dave.

You see TomasW... the way DC work is that half the users have great access for 24 hours, and then the alternate to the other users. This is because they only have enough bandwidth for 50% of their users. So unfortunately by tomorrow I will expect a shout from you as you will be in the other boat by then :-)

That's exactly why I left:)

I think this will be good for the die hards. This is because the more people who leave, eventually it will get to a point where DC will actually have enough bandwidth to support them :-)

Stay gone.

Please, after all the constant problems these ISP's are having, how can people (such as you) continue to support them blindly? I cannot understand why someone would pay for a service that is not reliable?

It is a KNOWN fact that the experience varies from user to user. Please stop going on about the personal attacks, I still want an explanation from DC for losing their "cool" a couple of time?

Your remark at Kaufies "Stay Gone" is in my fact personal and down right uncalled for!

My thinking exactly, by "left" I meant "didn't sign up". I was given a free account for December but I decided to stop using it (around the 20th) after hearing about (and experiencing) all the complaints.

Contrary to what Lightscribe desires I intend to sign up just as soon as all the issues are sorted out. However I am in no position to pay for the privilege of testing a network

kind of like a science lesson - only half the earth can see the sun at any one time.

I've asked this before

I guess at the end of the day it's just loyalty. Unfortunately that kind of loyalty is simply too expensive for me

Considering the fact that the problems were not all DC's fault and that I have kept pointing out the packet loss by BCS Durban, I will support them, if only to make sure I know how their service is when it works as intended.

Also, whether it will maintain that working status.

No one wants to add a product to a reseller group, if it does not function as it's supposed to.

That remark was far from personal and totally called for.

No one expects you to. So, try not to be so nasty...Dave didn't swoop in and steal your GF. He's busy trying to make it work. Your nastiness helps no one.

Nice to see some one that see,s it the way i do

Seriously? You're interpreting my satirical/ironic/sarcastic post as 'nasty'? It would only be 'nasty' if I believed a word of it to be true, which I (and possibly everyone else) don't.

I thought it was a good post under the circumstances. It referenced issues with Telkom, which they had in the beginning as well as claims of a "slurring helpdesk technician." I don't go through life with a serious face. Besides, Dave actually has a sense of humour, I think he proved that with the Facebook/Screamer shirt competition!

Have to agree. It's nothing short of disgraceful that a half baked product such as the one DC is offering could have made it to market. Where in the modern world can such a degraded, inadequate excuse for a service be launched to paying clientel?

The internet has not just been invented. What blueprint or business model are these guys working off? Surely the powers that be at DC knew what to expect and had the infrastructure as well as technical know how in place to provide and support what they as a ISP purport to provide?

I just don't understand where or how they've made such an epic miscalculation resulting in the rubbish you have now.

Sorry to sound so harsh but it simply doesn't cut it...

Is it still dead for you guys? I cannot browse since yesterday afternoon.....

I am at work now , but it was still dead when I left home about 40 mins ago.

It seems the connection is getting worse and worse.....I think I'll be jumping ship soon.... Even though I dont want to move my line to another ISP. This is getting way too painful.

DC is the only uncapped provider that allows bursting. If you want to jump ship, then do so, one does not abandon ship with the first major storm
