Disconnections every hour?

And we are back on a disconnect every minute...

Yesterday was mildly better with some sessions lasting up to 30 minutes... whoohoo...

Hugo, what's happening?

I know its not your fault but at least keep us up to date here...

It is a network wide problem (JHB, PTA, CPT & DBN) so what is Neotel doing about it and when can we expect a resolution? I won't be told that you don't know what is going on when its a network wide problem...

So keep us (your paying customers) in the loop... we will appreciate it and treat you better for it :)

@InfinInfo

The sessions don't disconnect because you are idle... it disconnects because Neotel's network isn't up to scratch and they have bigger problems than they want to admit to...

Yeah I am over this. But it happend as soon as i upgraded to 10GB package

I think they make the 5GB package faster so you go out of bundle faster....

Actually @Neotel I don't care how you get usage tracking working but I do want usage tracking today.

No a spreadsheet with crap on but a application I can use to check my usage on a daily basis not a 24 lag but real time.

This is not a request but a demand as its a right :)

Hehe , I am actually getting a great deal of entertainment from your mood swings :D

Neotel Spy ---> Neotel Activist ---> Sort of a spy ----> Back to activist :P

Gues the mood swings are related to your DL Speed :D

Still trying to decide where my main internet link is moving to. Still have my Iburst backup

Cant get copper at my place , and Telkom wimax is also not a possible ...
So looking deeper

Hmmm will look into that
Have a screamer tower 2km from me so also debating that.

I looked into screamer, but their customer support looks to be worse than neotel - you call them , it goes to voicemail and supposedly they call you back, well that never happens.
From reading on the forum, it also looks like screamer get their wireless service from non other then neotel?

I have recently received a telkom HSDPA device as a land line alternative, they call it fixed wireless, go figure - it looks similiar to the neotel lite device - slightly better as it has a sim so can get voice mail - problem is that it works on 3g internet, so internet costs are very high, R280 for like 1gb is just stupid.

basically the real issue here is that neotel are getting paid in full for a service, so they need to deliver that service.

So I've been waiting by my phone patiently for the entire day waiting for the Neotel technician to call and I've now decided to go to the beach. Please leave a voicemail when you phone.

Resolved

Catruter needs an external yagi antennae swap.
Waiting for stock arrivals....

Hugo

Yay!

I just wrote @Neotel a nice long PM and then my connection disconnected as the page reloaded after the send...so I have no idea if you got it or not Hugo.

No call and the beach wasn't that nice...wind was hectic in Blouberg. At least I got a bit of sun and the tan is coming on quite well!

Now...back to disconnections...Think I'm actually starting to get used to it now. Almost like Twitter comes in 140 character bursts, so my internet now comes in 5 min bursts!
