This new "personal health goals" for 2019 thing seems confusing...will have to wait and see it unfold next year.

I've got a tomtom and glad they not removing it for existing users.
Saying that mine hasn't synced to discovery since yesterday normally syncs in a hour or two

The thing with ebucks is that in order to get to Reward Level 5, you have to take out so many products that I wouldn't ordinarily take out. I have a Gold cheque account and use the App - that gets me to Reward Level 2. If I got an FNB credit card, I could move to Reward Level 3. But then that's as far as I can go. I'm not interested in their savings, investment or insurance products - I can do better elsewhere. And I won't take on debt of any sort. So best I can do on the FNB credit card is 0.7% earn. That's about the same as what I can get on Discovery Card (R1 per R150 spend = 0.67%), and then there's the 10x multiplier. At reward level 5, looking at my credit card spend over the past 11 months, I would have earned R344 more on ebucks (taking into account the R400 Discovery Miles fee).

I use my discovery card for my day to day shopping and then I pay it back at the end of the month, which means I never pay any interest. i would never make a purchase just to get points.

Same. Looking at their page, it seems they've had general syncing errors since 26 Nov, and people not being able to link devices. I did log it with them anyway.

Is anyone else unable to get sheath to sync the steps to vitality? When I go the the permissions normally it brings up steps and exercise. Now this is what I get. Screenshot_20181129-213038.jpeg
 
Finally got onto silver!

Someone somewhere mentioned they at the end of a year you can trade a certain number of your Vitality points for discovery miles. How does this work? Is it only if you are on Diamond status?

You need a discovery credit card.
