Discovery Vitality [2019]

You can get by requesting but its a mission I can't lie
Kudos to you for double checking everything, i think it just confirms what some of us have suspected for a while, that they stuff things up left right and centre behind the scenes.

Thanks mate, haha. I'm awaiting feedback which has been promised within 3-5 days. I'll let you know the outcome.

Please excuse my stupid question, so you purchase Pick n pay and dischem vouchers using your credit card, why not just make small separate purchases at those stores ?
How does snapscan work? Cause if you you make a purchase from.your cc to load onto snapscan ,then why not pay DSTV , electricity also in smaller separate amounts directly?,what is the point in buying gift cards and purchasing via snapscan?

Sorry long day I'm confused

The gift cards are perfect because i dont have to hold up a line. 2 transactions at a time as opposed to me spliting a R600 purchase 12 times

With snapscan, i load my wallet with R50, R51, R52 every day. at the end of the month i pay dstv directly from my wallet a total of R850 odd.

Same concept with electricity.

The aim is to preload both gift cards and snapscan wallet daily. Then end of the month i can pay with just one transaction. Mulitple R50 transaction as opposed to R3K once off. More points from the bank side.

Thanks I understand,I need to look into snapscan, when you purchase with snapscan using your Discovery cc ,I take it there is no immediate interest charges ?
And once you load money onto snapscan, can you pay anything or only selected accounts like DStv etc?

I cant comment on the credit card transactions as i only have the transactional account. I would assume that the snapscan transactions will be seen as a purchase and the normal fees and interest will apply.

People... is anyone else's vouchers not working? I got 2xR100 vouchers from Dischem that I saved to use today to get an electric toothbrush on sale that I have been eyeing, and now neither of my voucher codes is "valid". What the hell.... ?!

So here's my conundrum
I have 1000 points , according to discovery news letter from Jan if I don't spend them they will be converted to dMiles at a rate of 6 to 1 ,so that will be about 6000 dMiles. Which is worth about R550 is that correct? So would it be worth to spend them now as 990 points is around R990 (for eg 100 points is R100 at dischem)

If I leave it and get the 6000 dMiles ,I've seen their spend to see what you can purchase with dMiles ,but not too sure, how many miles would I need to purchase a R100 dischem voucher? Am I better off getting them now at a better rate or wait?

Interested to understand this too...

Back to my cashback complaints...got my current month cash back of 195 versus expected (with proof) of about R1000

Really getting irritated

Ah ok. Nice. I can manage six items lol. For 10 measly points though...
Yeah I guess per week? Or do they carry over? I bought a few things yesterday but only activated it today
