Gold in one month is very impressive. I'm only on 23000 points...another 22000 to go...

Indeed. I'm on 27300 so far and thought I was doing well, although I want to go and dispute my Vitality Health assessment. When I did on it on like the 5th of January, I swear she told me I passed all the tests, but the system recorded I only passed 4/5 and one of my indicators is "high risk" , which is complete nonsense, so I only got 12500 rather than 22500 points. I'm a fit young man...

Also whenever I click on my health results on Discovery, it says the following:

Sorry, this service has a technical problem at the moment. Please try again later.
We’re working hard to solve the problem to give you the excellent service you expect. If the problem persists, please contact the call centre on 0860 99 88 77.

This happened to me last year as well, i had just come back from gym, and thought i could go do my assessment (As vitality came to the offices, and it was the last day) so my blood pressure was a bit high, so the nurse said its fine, she will just put the normal range, as i just came back from gym.

Instead, she went and put the high blood pressure and i lost that rating in the assessment.

For weeks, i was getting messages from my medical aid and discovery saying that i need to go check my blood pressure as i am a high risk.

Has anyone linked a Huawei device to Vitality? On discovery, mine is showing as not synced and I cannot find a way to force a sync

I just got myself the Huawei band 2 pro today and if you go to the home screen on the Huawei app and pull down on the screen, it syncs to the watch, but apparently it only syncs to Vitality overnight.

Will vitality also allow the band 2 (non pro) device to be used?

Does it show average heart rate while exercising? Where did you get the band 2 pro and price? Please share pics or screen dumps if anyone has

So I've tried a colourband a2, it's synced steps but not exercise. Surely it should be compatible? It is showing Avg heart rate on the phone?

Discovery site should show what activity types they accept from the device, however I don't think they list per device. It may be the device model does not use a sufficiently accurate hr sensor to qualify for activity points.

Can't find anything on their site. It does show Avg heart rate is accepted with Huawei devices if they are compatible. Guess I will be on to the call centre tomorrow?!

I'd email, takes longer but it's much easier to argue in future when u have it in writing.

I already called them to ask something and turned out the guy was wrong, when I complained they claimed there was no record of my 10 minute call, that I had not called them, not spoken to the consultant who's name I gave them and naturally there was no recording either.

Need an answer though, then I can email confirming I guess

Assuming it doesn't work, what is the cheapest heart rate supporting device that does work?

Think the Garmin Forunner 235 or something like that, the Forerunner are the garmin entry level range. I think the vivofit is also there's, think one of them has hr on it.

Fitbit also has a few hr options. You would get more bang for your buck out of a garmin though.

It's a nice watch but not the cheapest option. Garmin Vivosmart 3 is a much cheaper option.

I used a Fitbit HR for about a year and a half before getting my Forerunner, they are cheap but I had issues with reliability (3 replacements in 18 months) -they might have resolved that but worthy checking. Very happy with my Garmin though...
