Discovery Vitality 2020

Considering that the old points (which were previously essentially 1 point = R1) converted to miles at a rate of 1:6 miles, the values on the game board are piss poor if you divide them by 6. It seems likely that this whole move from points to miles was just an exercise designed to obscure a significant reduction in benefits.

Had 2 plays today. Got lucky and chose the max 350 and another 65 points. Board looked decent though with a 300 and two 250's as well on there. Several over 100 as well.

So weird my board had 1 100 the rest were all lower smaller amounts (55 65 75 etc)

You had a 350? Weird.

The board seems bigger now with 4 x 5 items - wasn't it previously 4 x 4? Definitely feel like they're gaslighting us and offering lower rewards. Points to miles converted at 6:1 so if you divide these values by 6 it seems pretty low. At the very least I would expect everyone to get the same chances - otherwise why are some favoured differently?

yeah they need to keep the boards having a maximum value per tile at a constant, very unfair

I didn't get a play today because my gym visit from last Friday is not reflecting yet

That's why I insisted 0n the phone yesterday they must manually allocate my visit. Only after emailing through a screenshot from the va website while the agent wait on the phone with me. I did get my play today.

I've been saying this from the start but most people were like: "ooh goody Discovery Miles, much wow!"

Yeah it's not the same value as before except for some of the 150 point rewards. You can get any drink on the menu from Vida for 150 points. Some of those are R40+.

Did anyone get the 3 + 1 bonus play today?
I got 4 ,I don't know if the fourth one was the bonus play or for last week's one where I never got the bonus play , wish they would indicate

Just got spoke to my vitality consultant. Discovery has confirmed they short paid my cash backs for Jan amounting to 900 bucks.

Once they refunded me will look at December cash backs.

Gosh now maybe I should look if they short paid me as well, but so hard to track my health care purchase and food ones

That is just it, how many people are buggered over thinking Discovery is doing their bit to pay back correctly. All margin for the corporate machine!

I got an excel file from them. I’m not gonna check the actual till slip to their records. That’s too much work. I just checked what’s on their record agrees to the cash back. They were using the wrong percentage for healthy food. They gave me 50% instead of 75%. And healthy care and gear was 25% instead of 50%.

So if you on bank. I think you might be affected.

It looks something like this
