Discovery Vitality 2020

Fair enough. Does the roasted veg option not count as healthy dining?
The side counts, but only if it is the salad, roasted veg or peri spinach.

You can double check everything that the HealthyDining includes via ubereats.

Can someone tldr vitality for me.

Thinking of taking it primarly for the virgin active benefits

I’ll do my best....
Welcome to Vitality! A program whereby if you are prepared to pit your wits against some of South Africa’s most cunning actuaries in a battle of rules, regulations, limits, levels, points, miles and weekly goals, you could actually end up living a longer and healthier life! In other words, if you gym at least twice a week (cardio for 30 mins) and either have or obtain a fitness device that you remember to charge and wear, you can gym for free! (One club only). Be prepared to live with constant anxiety as to whether your weekly points have been captured and reflected on your app and remember to complain to yourself once a week that “If I’d exercised on Sat and Sun I’d already be 2/3 through my goal!” #diamondlifestyle

Lol that is hilarious

But ja not sure if it's worth the hassle.

To ensure you get the maximum savings on your Vitality gym benefit, visit the gym at least 36 times in a rolling 12-month period.
We count your gym visits from the end of the first year that you joined to ensure that you have trained at least 36 times in that 12-month period. From then on, at the end of every month we count back 12 months to find out what your total number of gym visits was during that period. Only one gym visit a day will be counted towards this total

Is this the only thing you need to do for the gym benefit? Go 36 times in a year?

For the 75% discount, yes, that is all you have to do.

If you want 100% off, you have to join the bank and meet your weekly goals, which start off at around 300 points (I think) and go up regularly as you meet your goals.

Max goals = 900 points.
Ways to earn points (only one counts per day):
ParkRun = 300 points
Exercise at 80% max HR for 30 mins+ = 300 points
Exercise at 70% max HR for 1 hr+ = 300 points
Exercise at 70% max HR for 30 - 59 mins = 200 points
Exercise at 60% max HR for 30 mins+ = 100 points
Swiping in at the Gym = 100 points
10000 steps = 100 points
5000 steps = 50 points

Be aware that you can only get a single of these point events per day - highest counts.

You can't do parkrun 300, then also get 300 due to 80+ heart rate and 100 due to 10k steps

If my wife and I joined discovery bank, can we both qualify for the apple watch benefit of is it only on person per health policy?

Brilliant

You can also convert o Avios Miles.

However I'm keen on the Coming Soon option, converting to Voyger Miles...

It seems I have very good luck with HealthyDining. I've submitted 4 receipts in total - all went through successfully without a hitch, all within 24 hours. The 4th was actually processed within 30 minutes of submitting.

Does anybody know if Discovery are still paying out gym booster. I received my healthy food and shoe booster cash backs but not yet the gym booster. I did achieve all goals as I usually do. I don't have Discovery bank.

No booster was paid to me and I have discovery bank.

Got 3x HL payments of around R100 each, which is still less than what it should be. Still waiting for discovery to get back to me.

IRC its one watch per policy in a 24 month period. That means one watch for you or your wife per 24 month period. Unless you are on separate policies.

I'm also waiting for gym booster

They should still be paying, but I'm also waiting for mine. When I last queried I was told that there is a delay and a number of members are affected but not all, so it's not flagged as a known issue on their website
