Hi

I Need some advice please. I am currently with Amobia as my isp and Frogfoot fibre. With the changes from 30/30 to 40/40 I decided to shop around looking at packages.

Was paying R665 for 30/30 and now going to be R709 for 40/40, Webafrica is R629 for 40/40 and R699 for 80/80 which is still cheaper than what I will be paying for half the speed. Should I move to webafrica or not? Frogfoot as the fibre provider will obviously stay the same, just different isp. Or do I stick with 40/40 with Amobia?

All help is appreciated

 Bring out the popcorn on this thread

WebAfrica's service is appalling. When something goes wrong, you will definately regret moving to WebAfrica

Just do a search on WebAfrica on the forums and your answer will be answered quite quickly :)

And WebAfrica often have "specials" but its just for 3 months and thereafter your monthly payment is more than other providers.

My advise is avoid them. Worst support in thr industry and very difficult to cancel.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

If I was given a choice between 24hours load shedding and web africa, I'd choose the load shedding any day of the week.

Thanks for all the replies. Some of these comments filled my comedy quota for the week. guess I will be avoiding them

So I downgraded 1 month ago. Got now a letter they are automatically increase my subscription.

“
Over the last few years, the country has experienced rising inflation which has been exacerbated by ongoing loadshedding and a weakening of the Rand. In addition to this, there have also been increases from certain Fibre Network Operators which we have often absorbed to deliver the best value to you.

It is important to note that we have not adjusted our pricing for many years and have attempted to keep your price adjustment to a minimum. We are no longer able to absorb the increases. “

The clear answer is no.. they have the worst service and support... please save yourself the pain

I've been trying to cancel a debit order for over two years. I signed up for a ADSL contract in 2013, however they have been billing me for fibre for couple of years now (which isn't available in our area yet) HERES YOUR CHANCE WEBAFRICA... if you want to change the negative image of your company, I challenge you to publicly explain changing the service agreement, without a client's consent ( new contract or authorised debit order mandate) PLUS the reason it takes over two years to cancel a contract. ( despite acknowledging the request ) . PS : Please don't ask me to DM you, I've already jumped through all the hoops on all the platforms, same result no reply.
