Bought it just to see if something like it would be useful.
Lives in the kitchen - kids play music on it; sometimes it's an external speaker; I mostly use it for the timer functions and to annoy the rest of the family by using it as a one way intercom from the app on my phone
The new Apple HomePod mini's are mighty attractive especially for the annoying Intercom feature
