DStv limiting concurrent streams from March 2022

Why do you need sport?

You'll be surprised set the amount of time you get back after quitting this addiction.

I was probably the biggest cricket fan. Would watch all major matches. Now I just catch the scores and have F1TV for F1. The first few weeks takes some getting used to but after that it's just liberating to not be controlled by it...
Face it.. you are getting old. :p

Liar! SA started playing kuk and not winning anymore and that's why you stopped watching.

Haha I stopped long before. I guess having a kid forced me out of it, wanting more family time during the weekend that we don't get during the week.

The evenings are "me" time, and there's no sport on, so I game...

Are they going to be limiting the IP's though? Cos there goes me using my friend's service for UFC fights while he's sleeping.

Screw DSTV, I can still download the fights and watch them later.

Looking IP's would be even more retarded, but DSTV have on too many occasions, proven to be not so bright in the past.

I take my streaming box to work, when there are international games on, and connect to the internet there, and watch with one eye while I work.

See, if you guys did not share access between one another, this would never have happened and you could still have enjoyed DSTV form home, work or your holiday home!
Some are 'selling' DSTV Now at a shared price to bring the overall DSTV price per user down. 1 guy has the decoder and is paying premium, he gets a login and shares that, others pay their portion to prime subscriber. This brought the price of watching DSTV across 5 households down to affordable. It's what we did in the family of 5 living all over the country.

Sensible use case for a way over priced service.

Honestly think people who share will signup for their own Lol will not happen they will simply cancel,3 channels Kyknet, Mzansi, and Supersport, everything else you can find on the internet, people are also splitting the monthly bill not just sharing, this will hurt you more than you think DStv, a large number of subscribers you didn't think will be wiped, people just can't afford by themselves anymore.

Next thing will be that you can only link one device lol

They are trying to make hay, while the sun shines, they know their time is up, and that relying on selling Supersport to keep their ship afloat is not cutting it. Naspers bailed already when they put DSTV/Multichoice on the stock exchange.

So dstv thinks that by limiting streams, those who used a borrowed stream are going to subscribe to dstv premium?

Nope, what's going to happen is that those who were getting "donations" from two friends won't be able to afford anymore and will cancel.

What are the free satelite services now to get etv and news? For my in laws, they only watch those weird shows on etv and the news anyway.

My IPTV service has 28 Supersport Channels (FHD & HD) and the whole DSTV bouquet too. I am paying less than R1000 for a years service.
Coupled with a VPN ( i use Surfshark ) its the best service i have ever had.

Watching Footie in BT Sports UHD @ 50FPS is amazing
