DStv raising prices next month

It matches their logo phrase "So much more". I can't wait for the excuse for increasing the fees.
 
Increase is probably going to fund the k@k SA Idols and Survivor SA Prize money. Urgh - why dont they just stop with the Idols SA - its such a lame show!!

It was unacceptable years ago. This product is waaaaay overpriced.
You can find satellite providers in other countries providing more channels for a third of the cost. :D
DSTV subscribers need to have their heads examined! :eek:

A boycott won't hurt me.
I will also support a boycott of movies. Went menlyn on Saturday, R40 a movie per person, 3D movie is R60 and an extra R6 for the 3D glasses, sheesh man. That's crazy.

LOL! Funny how this happens right before winter when every one tends to stay indoors more often... OPEN SEASON ON THE CONSUMER!

i have heard that TopTv will be getting sports soon. I think is in august some where. I heard from friend that has TopTv. So maybe TopTv will share the sports with Multichoice. I could be wrong. So if that happens, good bye DSTV and Hello TopTv
 
I think it might actually work out more feasible to stream sky through your xbox on a 4mb line lol!

TopTV is crap getting better @ R250
DSTV is mediocre getting worse @ - oh, I don't know. Forgot, canned 'em about 6 months ago. Haven't looked back.

And with the R300-odd saving, I have been buying bandwidth to download my shows (Chuck, Mentalist, HIMYM). I mostly watched Rugby at the bar anyways. And just this Friday, I watched the Rugby on my mac - live, via cell C in HD. Cost about a GB though. Still, I would far rather give C 10 GBs than DSTv one more f...ken cent!
 
So now how much will it be now for the hd pvr subscription? I pay r600 per month so if im not mistaken it'll be 559 + 50 pvr access fee so thats only r10 more.. Yoh cnt believe people are complaining about a r10 increase!
 
I gave up smoking, giving up on TV was easy! 18 months tv clean.
