Sentech, u rock !!!

Ever since the changes my speeds have been flying, local AND intl.

My average dl speeds r around 26kB/sec and at the SAME time my average ul speeds r about the same [:D]

Please, let's just keep it up now [:)]

Edit1: Fine, Sentech, u don't rock... intl speeds have gone 2 **** again but on the upside: local is still cruising at amazing speeds of 27kB/sec average [:D]
 
Yep I must say with the new lines we got the connection seems faster.. locally more so than international but still fast:) I'll do some checks later and see how it goes :) Oh and the connection was excellent not in speed but just having a connection at Rage... I had like 15 people using it to get their Steam up to date I am grateful that Sentech covered the Dome :)

Ahhh yes rAge was brilliant hey Cerberus? very well organized i must say. But on a worse note int is stilllll screwed!! argg this sucks :/ Going on to a diff topic, anyone know how i can improve my pings??
 
Hi Guys

Just out of curiousity did anyone else get better than usual bandwidth this morning internationally. Just for kicks I usually take a reading on Bandwidth place and was astounded that I got a reading of 170kbits/s which I haven't seen in ages(yes yes it's not the full speed any of us wants but it's getting pritty close) Anyone else experience this? I'm just guessing it was early morning and no one was on :)

i've noticed quite an improvement in my speeds recently... downloaded a 6mb video from microsoft.com yesterday at 180kbps, and i doubt it would have been cached by then either cos it was rather obscure, and just been uploaded anyways. bittorrent downloads are still pretty slow tho, so it seems that they've gone a bit extreme on the port-shaping. also, i share my 256 connection with my brother next door so im not sure if he was doing anything with it while i was doing the download last nite either :)
 
Today I cant even connect to my normal tower, I have to use a external ant. to connect to Invernes!!!!!! I just hope the sentech troubles are not starting again!!!! Oh, and my speed is WAY slow........

Sorry about this Rhino, murphys law says it will happen on a Saturday morning.
Mal Park died on me at 04:20 this morning and I finally got it back up at 06:45 and within the next hour it died again.
We have a backhaul link problem so hang in there.

LOL, no prob. At least I know that its not a problem from my side, cos the "call centre" keeps telling me, "there are plenty ppl on Mal Park" Cos still today, I can only get Inverness. BTW, Inverness seems to be very stable, but it seems a bit slugish, could this be caused by the prob on Mal Park? Thanks for your help!!

Heya ProASM - Welcome back ...

So, you buying into the 3G road to hell as well ;-) ... I hope 3G gives some nice bang without too much buck - but then that's up to our friends at Vodacom/MTN/Sentech ....

I'm still confused as to how Sentech's license really allows them to be a cellular provider ;-)
 
Um, Is there something wrong with Mal Park??????? I cant get anything above 3k local and 1k int. if im lucky. I am sitting, watching a download at 395 bytes/sec. I have called ST 8 times today, and now have 3 tickets from Tuesday allready, and its just getting worse...........
